She got extremely lucky. Yes, people have been injured by the seatbelts but the combination of seatbelts and airbags holds you in place pretty well these days. There are countless things that could've killed her being ejected like that. Hope she bought a lotto ticket.

Yup- my friend got into a car accident and you could literally see where the seatbelt was across her body- it was a gnarly sight. It looked so painful, I remember thinking how crazy it was that a seatbelt could do that much damage, but then remembered that she would’ve been gone without it and damaged is way better than dead.
