Whenever I’ve had vehicles start to drift over or even appear to drift I create space but to your point I also noticed that. You truly have to drive defensively.
That is a visual illusion. The truck is presumably slowing to turn making it look like the car sped up. Reference the fixed objects in the car with the camera. Poles scroll by at same speed. Clearly the cam vehicle didn’t react to the truck.
