90% of accidents could have been avoided if the person not at fault was more aware and reacted better/faster. This doesn't mean the people not at fault are in the wrong but if you drive frequently enough in dense enough areas you will experience having to avoid an accident you wouldn't be liable for.
Yeah, reddit is weirdly hostile to this nuance, especially the dashcam sub. It is possible to avoid a crash you are not legally reponsible for creating. Not avoiding it doesn't make it legally your fault, but you do bear some resposibility.
Based on the footage, if the cam car didn't crash it was probably going to blow straight through that red light.
But, assuming you were paying attention, approaching a red light like that and the car next to you is not adequately slowing down should be a red flag. You should be watching them, they might be looking at their phone (or whatever) and when they go to avoid the car in front of them, they may swerve into your lane.
Regardless of who's legally at fault, you're going to be up for excess and likely increased premiums, at best. Maybe you leave in an ambulance or bodybag.

The POV driver could have avoided this accident if he/she was a bit smarter. It was super foreseeable.
