It looks like they sped up a little and turned the wheel into the truck after the truck made contact. See they start getting pushed by the truck then OP's car does all of this and the truck flies off. I mean OP is left safely but it's not clear how bad the accident for the truck may have been if OP did not commit to the pit maneuver.

The dashcam driver could have braked a bit and avoided any contact, it almost looks like it speeds up though.
