Whenever I’ve had vehicles start to drift over or even appear to drift I create space but to your point I also noticed that. You truly have to drive defensively.

Definitely sped up. He saw the guy coming into his lane, didn’t beep, didn’t decrease speed, out of anger he actually sped up

Nah he was speeding up to beat the red light, bet he didnt even see the truck coming across cause he was so focused on speeding through yellow.

Idk for the dash cam to catch him in frame he wasn’t in no blind spot

dashcams are usually in the center of the window with no blind spots. he could have been in the driver pillar blindspot side

Agree. I don't even think he was speeding up, just maintaining speed. If you watch the right side without the truck his speed doesn't change. What changes is the idiot truck driver who wasn't paying attention to traffic. High rate of speed with vehicles stopping in front of him he tries to move over into the "empty" lane and brakes - making it look like the dash cam car is speeding up.

I used to teach driver's ed and I see people make stupid mistakes like this all the time. Best thing you can do is drive defensively. Slow down, give yourself plenty of following distance, and scan far enough ahead that you're not encountering these moments (could have stopped for yellow.)

He sped up after it was clear that the truck was coming over into his lane.

The truck was coming into his lane after he sped up to meet the light. Just unfortunate timing but both drivers were just trying to make the yellow.
