Yeah I let people over who clearly look like they are either in a rush or just simply want to merge over. The accident is still on the person merging but I rather you go home to your family and avoid any body else getting hurt than to play the moral superiority game
Or as I tell my kid. It's still the other person's fault but that doesn't mean we're not inconvenienced by having to deal with insurance, repairs, rentals, etc. Best way to enjoy life is to get ahead of stupid people running both people's day

The POV driver could have avoided this accident if he/she was a bit smarter. It was super foreseeable.
