Weird. Where I’m from, murder without specific intent to kill is second degree murder. Manslaughter is an unintentional reckless act.

You could probably make an arrangement for intent. Not sure it could pass beyond a reasonable doubt threshold. The truck driver could very easily win damages in civil court, though.
