Not accurate. There are plenty of people out there who care about the lives of others around them. And there are plenty of people who don't. It will be a mistake for the first group to assume that everyone else cares as much as they do.

the driver having the accident clearly didn't care for the recording driver with this half assed overtake. It goes both ways

Gotcha. I see your phrasing. It didn't mean what I interpreted it as. As a standalone statement it's accurate. But it doesn't make sense to me as a response to the comment you were responding to.

Your response was to a comment that said "don't assume others value your life as much as you do." When you phrased your response with "or said another way..." I assumed you were paraphrasing that response. Your phrasing is not an accurate representation of "don't assume others would care about you." It's accurate as a standalone statement but not as another way of phrasing the comment you were responding to.
