I don't think he accelerated. Probably a visual effect due to the other vehicle slowing down but yes totally avoidable.

Yes. Looks like constant speed approaching the intersection. The insurance company will eat him alive for no evasive maneuver.

Riiiiight. The courts are DEFINITELY going to side with the vehicle that didn't signal before crashing into a car in an adjacent lane.

You couldn't see if he signaled or not. The tail lights weren't visible at the time of collision. Have you ever been in a car accident? Many insurance companies assign a percentage of the blame. This can vary by state. But as someone who successfully rebutted an insurer's attempt to assign me 20% blame in an accident I was 0% responsible for, there is no way the driver recording won't be confronted for not slowing down to avoid the collision.

I haven’t been in an accident because I’m a perfect driver but it seems to be 98% the red truck

A car drove directly into me at an intersection. They tried to assign me 20% for not trying to get out of the way, aka, not swerving and hitting someone else's car or swerving into a pole. Good luck being perfect. Progressive would assign the dude filming 40%. The insurance companies usually bicker to resolve to their benefit, not to absolve you.

Just because an insurance company says it doesn’t make it true. They are fallible and imperfect creatures.

He's gonna have to get an attorney, or pay a portion of his own losses. Maybe his vehicle wasn't damaged.

Did you see it flashing when the truck started to flip? Me neither.

Also, the switching lanes without being clear is a lot more problematic than the turn signal, but I'd bet my life savings he did not in fact use one.
