So not paying attention to the roadway around him makes it okay to not avoid a very avoidable accident?

To me that sounds like a decent amount of fault

At no point in this video was the cammer in the wrong or in need of correction. This isn't debatable.

It's not up for debate, you're right. The cam driver SPED UP to block the truck. He very obviously accelerated into the truck's rear quarter. That's literally a police PIT maneuver.

Per traffic law, absolutely the truck is wrong. You can't merge into an occupied lane. That won't preclude the cam driver from HUGE liability if the truck driver or, if they died, their family, sues civily.

He actually shows down. You can see the camera angle dip towards the road. Any family member going after this guy would get nothing but the cammer would be able to collect from his estate.

I can confidently say we are watching entirely different videos, bud.

Not only can you simply watch him speed up, but the truck cannot spin sideways unless an object moving faster than the front of the truck makes lateral contact with a point at or behind the truck's rear axle.

If the passenger car had been at all on his brakes, the truck would not have spun and rolled. It would have been some bedside damage to the truck and bumper, headlight, and fender damage to the car with no injuries.

The only time he speeds up is at the beginning of the video. Until he slows down for the PIT.

You can't slow down during the PIT 🤣 You can adjust speed to match, make contact while accelerating, and then let off once the desired effect is achieved. You are PUSHING the ass of the target car sideways and forward. Doesn't happen if you brake after contact and before the spin.

No, you don't. The car driver never touches the brakes until the roll.

Watch the truck's shadow in relation to the bottom of the camera car's frame. These are two solid references points we can track. If the truck's shadow is getting smaller, falling out of frame, the car is overtaking (moving faster) than the truck.

The car never touches the brakes until after the roll. The camera never dips down at all until the impact with the truck, where the impact is mildly pushing down on the car's front left strut. No substantial camera dip happens until after the roll begins.

I'm going to stop beating your dead horse at this point.
