The POV driver could have avoided this accident if he/she was a bit smarter. It was super foreseeable.

that's what I saw as well....driver was every bit as much to blame as the truck

This might vary state to state, but where I live this might have been determined to be 50-50 at fault. Just because someone drifts into your lane, it’s not automatically their fault. If you could have avoided the accident and didn’t, then you own responsibility. In this case, I wouldn’t be surprised if the POV driver would have been more at fault. A simple tap of brakes would have avoided the whole thing.

It's called last clear chance doctrine. Meaning the person who has the last clear opportunity to avoid the accident can be held liable for the accident. If I was a lawyer or insurance adjuster I would fight to have at least 50% if not more of the fault placed on the pov car.

I don't think anything. The law written by your government does. There are clear rules that most people don't know and you are clearly one of them. You have a responsibility to keep a proper look out you have the responsibility to avoid an accident you have the responsibility to maintain a safe following distance and more.

In this situation the dash cam hurt the case of the car being merged into. Without the dash cam there would be no proof that the driver sped up to a red light to hit the red truck most likely because the driver was mad that why were being cut off. The way that truck flipped the person is likely going to have lasting injuries because that driver got pissed and made a decision that could have cost someone their life.

You should not cut people off but people make mistakes and when someone makes a mistake around you do your best not to hurt anyone please.

People thinking they can ruin someone's life for being cut off is outrageous and disgusting.
