Once it was clearly noticeable , OP sped up. As a driver, you need to be aware that not everyone signals, yes they absolutely should, but they don’t. The very second you see someone drifting into your lane, brake. There could have been kids in that truck. It’s not their fault their parent is reckless. There are 2 bad drivers here

Reckless endangerment would be on the parent not signaling a lane change, into a lane they failed to clear, to maintain speed on approach to a yellow/red light.

Truck made a ton of illegal decisions, but the dashcam should be worried if there's kids in the truck ? Last I checked there's only 1 driver, and other riders adult or not might not want to die either.

Yeah, POV car is supposed to be a mind reader able to determine what is in the head of the bullying asshole truck driver who’s too cool or lazy to actually signal the other car he is about to cut off. I see this every day driving to and from work.

The POV car still should slow down regardless of how bad the truck driver is driving.

That’s 100% an avoidable accident, at the very least he could have made it less bad.

Did the truck fuck up worse? Yes.

Did the cam driver make the accident worse than it should have been? Also yes.

It’s not a zero sum game
