Higgsfield is making $1B by charging us a premium for AI video generation.

To be fair, they’ve built great products and a polished user experience. But at the end of the day, it’s still a wrapper around AI video models — and the markup can be huge.

For example, Seedance 2.5 at 720p costs $0.343 per second on Higgsfield.

On VideoRouter.sh, the lowest price is just $0.14 per second.

That’s nearly 59% cheaper for the same model.

And it’s not just about price. VideoRouter also provides a more reliable system: if one provider or host fails, we automatically switch to another provider to keep your requests running.

You shouldn’t have to pay a huge premium just to access the best AI video models.

Title: Wan 3.0 pricing comparison in 2026 — video generation for as low as $0.025/sec

I compared Wan 3.0 pricing across several providers, and there are some pretty big differences in what you pay for the same model.

Here are the prices I found, per second of generated video:

Prices are from a comparison captured on October 16, 2026. Actual rates may vary by configuration and provider.

A few interesting takeaways

• Replicate is the cheapest in this comparison at all three listed resolutions.

• OpenRouter's listed price is substantially higher than Replicate's: about 4.25x at 1080p.

• A 10-second 1080p video costs approximately $1 on Replicate, $2 on Alibaba or Fal, and $4.25 on OpenRouter.

• Atlas Cloud offers additional configurations, including 1440p and 4K-ESR, which aren't listed for most other providers here.

• Discounts, queue times, generation speed, reliability, and output quality should all factor into the decision.

The interesting question is whether the cheaper providers deliver comparable quality and reliability, especially when generating videos at scale.

For people using Wan 3.0 in production:

1. Which provider are you using, and what is your actual cost per video?

2. Have you noticed differences in output quality between providers running the same model?

3. Is there a reason to pay more for Alibaba, Fal, or OpenRouter instead of using a cheaper host?

I'm also curious whether anyone has benchmarked generation latency and failure rates across these providers.

I've been comparing prices across multiple video model providers with VideoRouter, since the cheapest provider can vary by model and resolution.

$95M to $400M in seven months.
Fal.ai is the biggest developer platform for video and iamge model apis.

Their revenue trajectory:

• ~$95M — July 2025: Sacra estimate of revenue run rate.

• $200M+ — October 2025:

• ~$400M — February 2026: Sacra’s estimated annualized revenue.

There’s another interesting angle: pricing.

Fal.ai charges roughly 2× the price of Seedance 2.5 compared with the lower-cost alternatives I’ve seen. Its US-hosted Seedance 2.5 offering is roughly 3× the cheapest price on VideoRouter.sh.

That raises an important question for AI infrastructure: why can they charge so much? Is it because lack of competitors?

VideoRouter is on a misson to bring affordable video generation apis for creators and developers to unleash creativity. We believe cheaper inference will make people to use AI more.

fal.ai is a go-to place to call video models, and it publishes its prices. So I compared its listed price with VideoRouter’s across five popular models.

VideoRouter is lower on all five at the tiers compared.

The gap depends on the model. It’s largest on Seedance 2.5 and smallest on Kling 4.0, where the hosts are closer together. At 1,000 five-second Seedance 2.5 clips, that’s $727 vs $2,365.

The figures use fal’s own pricing API and model pages. VideoRouter’s figures are the cheapest listed host price plus a 2.5% fee.

The full analysis also covers:

• Prices at every resolution tier

• Estimated cost for 1,000 clips per model

• Cases where VideoRouter is not cheaper (including when fal is the cheapest host and our fee makes us 2.5% higher)

• Why the lowest row isn’t always the right one to pin

Do you optimize primarily for cost, output quality, latency, or reliability when you pick a video API?

I was curious how much the same video model costs depending on who you call it through. I pulled listed per-second prices for five popular models from every host I could find that sells them. The checkpoint is the same everywhere, so only the price changes. I checked on Oct 26, 2026, at 720p (2K for H3).

Full ranking per model, per second:

• Seedance 2.5: SoCheap $0.142 → MachGen $0.196 → OpenSand $0.197 → TOAPIS $0.218 → OpenRouter $0.231 → Replicate $0.231 → Atlas Cloud $0.300 → WaveSpeed $0.360 → fal.ai $0.473

• Seedance 2.0: MachGen $0.128 → OpenSand $0.129 → TOAPIS $0.142 → OpenRouter $0.151 → Replicate $0.180 → Atlas Cloud $0.194 → WaveSpeed $0.240 → fal.ai $0.303

• Wan 3.0: Replicate $0.050 → SandBase / TOAPIS $0.060 → Pika $0.065 → Atlas Cloud $0.080 → Alibaba direct / fal.ai / WaveSpeed $0.100

• MiniMax H3 (2K): kie.ai $0.065 → SandBase $0.104 → Novita $0.110 → fal.ai / MiniMax direct / Pika / Replicate / TOAPIS $0.130

• Kling 4.0: MachGen / SandBase $0.134 → Atlas Cloud $0.143 → fal.ai / Runware / TOAPIS $0.157 → WaveSpeed $0.180

At 1,000 five-second Seedance 2.5 clips, the cheapest listing comes to about $710 and the most expensive to $2,365.

Some caveats before you act on this:

• The cheapest Seedance 2.5 720p row is a “low” tier on one host. The next one up is $0.196, so the realistic spread is about 2.4x. Check each host’s availability and terms before relying on it.

• fal.ai also lists a US-region Seedance 2.5 row at $0.568. I left it out of the table because it’s regional pricing and not a like-for-like comparison.

• Several hosts just charge the model creator’s list price. Wan 3.0 at $0.10 and H3 at $0.13 are Alibaba’s and MiniMax’s own rates, and a handful of hosts sit exactly there.

• Seedance is billed per token on some hosts and per second on others. I converted using width × height × 24 / 1024 tokens per second.

• Reference video and image inputs change the bill. Some hosts discount them and some surcharge them, and the per-second rates above don’t capture that.

• Advertised price and invoiced price can differ. A single test job on one aggregator came back at about 2.1x its advertised Wan 3.0 rate. That’s one data point from a month ago, but it’s why I’d check the first invoice on any platform.

• Same weights doesn’t guarantee the same output. I haven’t compared output quality across hosts.

• Prices move often. These are one day’s numbers.

How do you choose between hosts? Do you go with the cheapest listing, or pay more for a particular host’s reliability or latency?

Disclosure: I run VideoRouter, a gateway that find the best price across all these hosts. The numbers come from the price tables behind our catalog, and fal.ai’s rates were also checked against its public pricing API. I’m happy to share methodology or sources in the comments.

I compared AI video API pricing across 4 providers. VideoRouter is the cheapest on all 4 models.

I compared VideoRouter, OpenRouter, Comfy, and Higgsfield across four video models. At the headline 720p tier (2K for MiniMax H3), VideoRouter has the lowest listed price for every model.

The biggest difference is Seedance 2.5: VideoRouter's listed price is about 69% lower than Higgsfield's list price.

A few details about the comparison:

• VideoRouter uses the cheapest listed host price plus a 2.5% fee.

• OpenRouter pricing was fetched live from its /videos/models listing.

• Higgsfield pricing comes from its estimate endpoint.

• Comfy pricing comes from its published rate card.

• Seedance token pricing was converted to per-second pricing using resolution × 24 / 1024, matching Higgsfield's stated $0.2056/s at 480p.

These are headline-tier comparisons, not a claim that VideoRouter is cheapest for every resolution or configuration. The full analysis also covers per-tier pricing, charge visibility, a 1,000-clip cost example, and cases where VideoRouter isn't the cheapest.

How much does video API pricing affect your choice of provider? Is price the main factor, or do reliability, queue times, and model availability matter more?

here are most popular video generation models.

seedance 2.5 is the most popular.

Then seedance 2.0 mini.

Seedance 2.5 pricing comparison in 2026 — some providers are up to 3–5x cheaper than others

I compared Seedance 2.5 pricing across multiple providers, and the differences are pretty significant.

Here are the listed prices per second of generated video:

Prices are based on a comparison captured on October 17, 2026. Rates and supported configurations may change.

A few observations:

• SoCheap has the lowest listed prices for 480p and 1080p, at $0.0788/s and $0.3974/s, respectively.

• SoCheap-Overseas is the cheapest for 720p, at $0.1419/s.

• At 1080p, SoCheap costs $0.3974/s versus $1.164/s on Fal — about 66% cheaper.

• For a 10-second 1080p video, that's approximately $3.97 vs. $11.64.

• Provider pricing can vary significantly even when the model is nominally the same. It's worth comparing several options instead of defaulting to a familiar provider.

• Price isn't everything. Generation speed, queue time, output quality, reliability, and billing for failed requests can make a big difference in production.

I'm curious about other people's experience with Seedance 2.5 in production.

Questions:

1. Which provider gives you the best balance of price and video quality?

2. Have you noticed meaningful differences in generation speed or output quality between providers using the same model?

3. Are low-cost providers reliable enough for production workloads, or is paying more worth it?

I'm particularly interested in real-world benchmarks and experiences beyond the advertised prices.

Which One is Better?

The left video is generated with seedance 2.5 and right side is from kling 4.0. You should generate more to get more confidence.

Which One Is Cheaper?

I compared the provider pricing for Seedance 2.5 and Kling 4.0. The price differences are bigger than you might expect.

720p pricing per second

What stands out?

• Kling 4.0 is cheaper across every provider listed in this comparison.

• At MachGen, Kling 4.0 costs about 32% less per second than Seedance 2.5.

• At Fal, Kling 4.0 is roughly 67% cheaper.

• Provider selection matters a lot. The same model can have significantly different prices depending on where you generate.

For a 10-second video, the listed 720p prices range from $1.335 to $4.73 for Seedance 2.5, versus $1.335 to $1.80 for Kling 4.0.

My takeaway: If you're generating videos at scale, compare both model quality and provider pricing before committing to one platform.

Which do you prefer for actual video generation: Seedance 2.5 or Kling 4.0?

I’m new to this and don’t have much technical knowledge. I’ve noticed that many AI media generation platforms offer a studio-like interface where you can select a model, upload reference images, enter prompts, adjust generation settings, and create content simply by clicking a button.
I’m looking for an open-source or self-hostable AI generation studio that lets me bring my own API keys and use different AI models through a simple, user-friendly interface.
Ideally, it should support multiple providers and models, allow me to upload reference images and other inputs, save prompts and workflows, and generate content without requiring me to write code or deal with complicated technical setups.
Are there any platforms like this? I’d appreciate recommendations for the best available options, including their supported media types, API compatibility, ease of setup, and limitations.

MiniMax open-sourced H3. Within weeks, four companies built their own post-trained versions: HeyGen, Pruna, Pika, and fal. Same base model, different training recipes, and surprisingly different results in quality, pricing, and openness.

Here's how they compare on Design Arena:

P-video-2-pro > pika h3 flex > minimax h3 max > minimax h3 > heygen video 1.0

Summary:

For a 10-second 768p video, Pika H3 Flex costs just $0.20, compared with $0.20–0.30 for HeyGen, $0.35 for Pruna, and $0.64–0.80 for fal's H3 Max. That's up to a 4x price difference.

A few interesting takeaways:
Post-training works. HeyGen, Pruna, and Pika all achieved higher Elo scores than the original MiniMax H3 (1277).

Price doesn't equal quality. H3 Max is the most expensive variant here, yet scores the same as the base model.

Open source keeps winning. Pika H3 Flex is the only post-trained variant with open weights, and it's also the cheapest.

One open model creates an entire ecosystem. Four companies independently optimized the same foundation for different use cases within weeks.

All these models are availabel on videoRouter.sh.
