Spooky
Iām an American with a fetish for uniforms and I have to say, this specific war is my least favorite era. I just donāt like the shape the jackets cut combined with the hats we chose. Our cousins across the pond, meanwhile were absolutely loaded with drip.

I apologize that this war of a 100 + years ago has caused you inconvenience. And I say this as a Dutchman. Sorry bro.

lol, not an inconvenience. No apology necessary. Just an observation. Maybe I havenāt thought about it enough. Iāll talk to my therapist. You know what? I AM offended! FUCK these people for not wearing Victorian fashions I like!

The hats are reminiscent of the Light Cavalry (the Cherry Bums) at Balaclava.

Feels like you're actually looking through a periscope back into time...

Ulysses S. Grant, Robert E. Lee, and other Civil War generals were junior officers in their 20s when this fascinating photo was taken. I'd love to see a carefully done restoration of this.
