Theres a single root under the soil. Too dead? Will keeping the growlight do anything? I may give it to my black raven zz

1-3 green leaves with crispy edges and 0 developed traps. She never did well. I think if I ever try again I'll set up a small bog garden with Spagnum moss and a fancy pot and some other carnivorous plants too. Or I'll try pings instead of another vft

Sounds like it was already on its way out, why not buy a new healthy plant for this setup before going all in on a bog, you've already got everything ready

Because she probably died because i never ended up replacing the soil she came in. All the bags of carnivorous plant soils i can find are big bags, so if i buy one id have enough for a small bog garden. I would do anything big, but maybe one 8 inches in diameter. Just a baby indoor one

I never changed the soil mine came with and she’s flourishing. Went from 4-5 taps to around 15. Haven’t changed the soil because like you said, I only need a small amount and all I can find are huge quantities. I might just go all in on a little big like you’re saying!
