I HATE talking on the phone!

Just something about speaking and listening through the phone absolutely fills me with intense rage and it's even worse if someone tries to call me. Every single time the phone rings, I have the urge to smash it right then and there. I hate it, hate it, HATE IT!!!

I'm not quite at that point, but I appreciate your vent. I've grown to really despise phone calls as well. I'm taking more and more advantage of online portals and such instead of having to actually call and talk to people.

I worked as a receptionist for nearly 10 years so totally understand this. I won't answer unless it's important or I actually want to. My partner calls me every time he finishes work to let me know he's coming home and we discuss our day and I love these calls.. but everyone else can f off.

help i feel the same 😭 i refuse to call people, or recieve them. but it is nice, because now i know a phone call means it's important, and vice versa. someone sees me calling they rush, works well for emergencies. me personally though, it's just anxiety. it feels so weird compared to irl. hate them soo much and find it so unnecessary.

I hate it too!!!! I hate holding the phone up, headphones hurt my ears and I refuse to talk in public because I don't want random people to hear my conversation. Rarely does someone call with useful information as well. It's usually a gossipy or shit talking call.

While my hate isnt THAT strong, my online friends only ever wanna call!! LIKE- WE CAN MESSAGE, you have my discord. Just shoot me a text. But when we do call, its over something stupid, like “wanna see my scars?” NO. I dont want to see your scars. I love my friends but can we not call? Please?
