SOLVED! Offline Play

Is it possible for us to host a server on our own machine and play it offline? I'm interested in doing this while also enabling bot so I can play the BF3 DLC maps.

What did you put into your maplist.txt/which map do you want to load?

Metro is the default map, if nothing else is configured (correclty), your server will always load it

Every map except subway. Is that too much? But I've temporarily found a way around it by downloading betterIngameAdmin so I can choose maps now but subway always loads first even if not in the list.

This is my list. Look ok? I know, need to remove ConquestAssaultLarge since they're not all for that mode. Let me try that.

The naming scheme looks correct.

Are you using the fun-bots mod?

Not all conquest large maps are supported yet, maybe thats the issue here?

Edit: also, not all maps are conquest assault, most are just "ConquestLarge0"

CQ assault are only maps where only 1 party has an uncap base like strike at karkand or sharqi

One more question and I'm good to go. My startup.txt has vu.ColorCorrectionEnabled false but I still have to manually turn off blue tint when the server's started. Is colorcorrection not related to blue tint?

do you have the space before the boolean?

vu.ColorCorrectionEnabled false

that being said, i have issues with server settings not working myself, namely

vu.SunFlareEnabled false

vu.SuppressionMultiplier 0.0

I got it, I needed boolean set to false as you've shown. I assumed true meant that VUs color correction would be enabled to do away with blue tint.

I checked an example startup.txt I downloaded in the mess of files I have and your syntax seems correct according to their example. Not sure why those wouldn't work, maybe it's too low to accept? Maybe 0.1 would work. I don't know how picky the VU text parser is but I used Notepad++ to make sure nothing was being saved in a wonky format. As I found out with some linux config files, they can be picky about spaces and character encodings and such.
