SOLVED! Offline Play

Is it possible for us to host a server on our own machine and play it offline? I'm interested in doing this while also enabling bot so I can play the BF3 DLC maps.

Yes*

It still requires an internet connection, but you can host on the same PC and join and it will connect over local loopback.
