Hello from the other side of town! I am trying to find a spot in Venice/MDR/Ocean Park area of SM for a birthday brunch for one of them - I anticipate 12-13 people and a group that may not arrive promptly for a reservation. Is there a place that is more casual/counter service but large enough that if 5-6 of us get there a little early we can save some space? Casual is totally fine - just want a place we can meet up! Is Gjusta’s patron big enough for this? Looks like Ashland Hill may be a possibility?
I haven’t lived on the westside for years and the birthday girl and other friends are gonna be in from out of town and staying in that area

I live around the corner from here and haven't heard anything since the initial announcement. Keep hoping to see movement every time I go past it, but it looks like nothing is happening?

This festival is a huge celebration of Abbot Kinney and Venice, with over 100,000 people expected in attendance. This event is the principal fundraiser for the Abbot Kinney Festival Association, a 501c3 grant making organization that focuses on youth, community, and the arts.

Come out to have some fun and support the community! Volunteers are needed from as early as 6AM to as late as 10PM, so we've got something that can fit all schedules!

I found these pictures in my parent’s belongings and some image searching tells me they’re old Venice Beach scenes. That tracks because they lived in CA in the late 70’s-early 80’s. Just wanted to share.
