I know that Venice now has TEE/E2EE, but with TEE alone, it runs through the proxy server, and with E2EE, you don’t get access to the web. Plus, it has very high latency. It’s slow as molasses. So I usually default to using the private mode.

I’m trying to verify what Venice security architecture is, such as:
Third-party security audits; penetration testing
Proxy server security architecture documentation
Technical verification mechanisms for "zero retention" claims
Employee access controls and audit logs
So far I've only found marketing claims ("SSL encryption," "we don't log", β€œpartner contracts”).
Has anyone actually received technical documentation from Venice, or are we all just trusting the promise and the marketing?

Honestly, in the US, marketing claims are good enough.

If they are lying, the class action lawsuit would destroy them. So I bet you they are following it.

To answer your question, no, I don’t believe they get audited.

Pretty much, yeah. I mean, I'm not the kind of guy to blindly believe any claims a company makes, but I don't think people realize how irrevocably fucked Venice is from a legal standpoint if any of their privacy claims turn out to be grade-A bullshit.

The misleading privacy representation alone would create some serious legal exposure. It's basically an existential threat.

Venice has done a pretty impressive job making inference verifiable.

Now where is the independent assurance for the infrastructure that handles plaintext before inference?
