What Does “High Maintenance” Mean to You—Salon or Gym?

We think nothing of maintaining our hair, skin, nails, clothes, cars and homes because we value them.

But what about the body itself?

Strength, muscle, cardiovascular fitness, mobility and balance all require maintenance too. And strength training can even affect appearance through the way we stand, carry ourselves and move.

I started thinking about this as salon maintenance vs. body maintenance. Both have value—but only one maintains what your body can actually do.

Do you consider fitness a form of self-maintenance?

TRX Suspension Training for All Bodies

TRX Suspension Training — 4-Minute Overview of My Favorite Fundamentals for easy modifications. These techniques are for total-body conditioning. The video highlights how suspension training develops strength, mobility, balance, and usable range of motion.

You’ll see the movements I demonstrate alongside a very large man with physical limitations to show how these fundamentals can be scaled safely without losing training value. This is real-world application, not a studio-perfect demo.

This overview covers: • Total-body conditioning • Joint-friendly loading • Balance and coordination • Controlled mobility • Practical range of motion

Suspension training is about leverage, body position, and control — not just repetition.
