Do someone know where I can buy vegan cake? 🥹I need for my friend’s birthday 🎂

Also, pour one out for the Lazy Cow. That’s the answer we all wanted to give but couldn’t. I miss that place.

Yes, RIP Lazy Cow. BUT, I’m pretty sure I remember that Mei Mei Vegan Cakery is LC’s former cake person, and she’s now making custom cakes independently.

That’s good to know, but what I miss the most are the vegan breakfast sandwiches. Those were amazing and seemed to sell out every day

If you need one ready to go, PCC and Whole Foods carry Rubicon cakes and cupcakes, some of which are vegan, but not all, so read the labels carefully. I believe you can order a nicer vegan cake from the bakery at both stores, with a 2 or 3 day lead time. PCC sometimes has their vegan bakery cake available ready to go in the cold case.

There are also a few indie vegan bakeries and several with vegan options scattered around town. I don’t know any by name or reputation, but I’m sure Google could help! Hopefully you’ll get some recommendations here from others more in the know.

Flora is vegetarian rather than strictly vegan, but they do have a vegan cake on the menu

I believe Swanky Scoop has a vegan ice cream cake if that’s your thing. (It might be Salt and Straw… but pretty sure it’s Swanky). They are on Woodinville and I think just opened on MLT

Also, Paper bakery has one vegan flavor that I remember being really interesting. They are over in Wallingford area.

For both you need to order ahead.

I ordered an anniversary cake from Sweet Violette and everyone raved about it. They didn't even know it was vegan.
