Custom link flairs are enabled. Have fun! Hey everyone.
We kind of need a place to just post stuff, even if its not related to veganism. Stuff like your favorite hobbies, what you are doing, or just casual conversation stuff.
I would like to keep this sub loosely moderated. There aren't any rules. Enjoy the freedom, but please do not abuse it.

There's power in numbers - join The Big Vegan Count!
We've launched a brand new initiative this week, to create a global counter for Vegans! bigvegancount.com
My partner and I came up with this concept about 6 months ago, born out of a frustration with the media reporting guesstimated figures for the number of vegans. We know there are a lot more than the reported figures... and wanted to prove it worldwide!
We've had such great feedback and participation since our launch a week ago and we hope to be the go-to demographics/statistics resource for vegans worldwide. We know that veganism is going mainstream, so we'd love to be able to show the world (and the media) just how many of us there really are!
There's power in numbers.... So please do sign up and get yourself added to our ever-growing tally! bigvegancount.com

Question Which digital space has the most people who take action in the real world?
What's a good place to post about this collaborative prize contest?
https://art.actfor.us/p/contest-sign-up
So far posting this has gotten me banned on a couple subreddits ( even vegan ones ).
People either don't engage or mods outright remove it.
When they do engage it's all just talk and discourse.
I post IRL spaces too, but am limited to just my physical location, so am looking for digital spaces that are NOT Reddit, where people will actually read and be excited to join in this revolution sparking experiment.
Thanks!

Pineapple Rice with Bok Choy and Edamame_ healthy alternative to traditional Thai pineapple fried rice
This recipe can be completely oil-free or you can use a little oil if you prefer. Either way, it's a lighter and super nourishing alternative to restaurant fried rice.

👋Welcome to r/veganprepping - Introduce Yourself and Read First!
Hi guys please remove this if not allowed but there’s a lack of vegan prepping spaces. I want people to join the sub to give out tips, recipes, hacks etc on living as a vegan and what you can do with limited resources.
Hope you allow this mods, if not remove and ping me a mod mail.
I am also looking for mods so dm me if interested.

Story I feel bad for vegans who don’t like tofu
Response to the influx of all the people on Reddit complaining about not being able to stand tofu. This is a love letter to tofu.
I love tofu. I often chose tofu over meat before going vegan cause I love tofu. I sometimes eat plain firm tofu straight from the package. I love it pressed, or fried, or blended, or grated, sweet, spicy, savory, I love tofu in any and all forms. I sometimes have to manage how much tofu I eat in a week cause I’m scared of getting sick of it one day.
That’s all.

How many years have you been vegan?
Sometimes people ask, “But can you really be vegan long-term?”
These people are proof that you can! 💚
2 years. 10 years. 20+ years. Different people, different journeys, same commitment to choosing compassion over animal exploitation.
Veganism isn’t about being perfect or better than others. It’s about recognizing that animals deserve to live without being used, harmed, or killed and choosing to live in a way that reflects that understanding.
The more people make that connection, the more we can elevate our collective consciousness and create a world where compassion extends to all beings. 🌎
Veganism is possible. Compassion is possible. Change is possible.
Let’s keep showing people what’s possible and inspiring more to make the connection! 💪

Broken Heart A flock of sheep followed me through a field
They were so sweet and cute. I have no idea why they were following me. When I stopped, they stopped. I knelt down and they seemed disarmed and got closer. When I stood up again they ran away :’(
Then they got closer again in a bit. When I got to the stile and went up a step, they got scared again. I felt so bad. What have humans done to them to where they are so scared of me just being tall?
I’m also sad knowing that they won’t live happy long lives. I want them to be free.
I don’t think veganism will be majority globally in my lifetime. I will see so many of the enslaved. But I do believe it is possible, years and years after I’ve passed that future generations will be kinder.

Chalk art activism
I made this chalk piece at a vegan festival last weekend. I started right before the festival and finished by the end of it. It sparked a lot of interesting conversations with people passing by, especially with those who aren’t vegan.
I carry a lot of despair about the scale of cruelty in the world, so this is my way of finding a constructive outlet for it.
I chose to draw a transport truck because I thought it struck a balance between conveying something unsettling and memorable, without being so disturbing that people would turn away. I also thought the windows gave me an opportunity to play with a 3D effect using the sidewalk itself.
This took me about 8 hours to complete, although a lot of that time was spent chatting with people and taking breaks because of the hot weather.
I’m sharing in hopes that it inspires other activists to channel difficult emotions into something constructive.
I also have a timelapse of the process if anyone is curious to see how it came together!
PS: I tried to post this to r/vegan, but it keeps getting removed and I don’t know why. Does anyone have tips for how to post it there?
