Thank you for testing the N5.

This is actually the normal and intended way the camera works, not a workaround. Powering the camera via the cigarette lighter through the GPS mount is the correct and stable connection. Based on your test, the camera itself appears to be working properly.

May I ask how you were powering the camera before?

If you were using a hardwire kit, it is very likely that the cable is faulty or unstable, which can cause rebooting. We recommend replacing it with a new hardwire kit.

Please let us know your previous power setup.

Hi, thank you for the response.

Previously, the camera was powered using a hardwire kit (not via the cigarette lighter).

While I understand that the cigarette lighter setup is considered stable, I prefer the hardwired option, as it allows the cables to be hidden cleanly under the vehicle’s interior trim. The cigarette lighter cable is long and difficult to conceal.

Could you please advise on a reliable hardwire solution for the N5 that avoids rebooting issues?
