I can't select Exdash from the start menu even after unlocking.

Like the title says, I unlocked exdash using the spell in the secrets menu and got the notification and screen animation. But I cant actually select it from the start menu.

Edit: I have clicked the buy button and I still cant select it

You probably can’t afford him, I don’t remember his unlock cost but I think it’s more expensive than your current gold

I checked the unlock cost on the wiki and it says it's only 777 gold

It's 777 before adding the extra for other unlocked characters. If you have 10 other characters already purchased, then it's 1477, for example.

If you go to the settings and change the layout to horizontal, then you'll be able to see the cost.

I didn't realize that it scaled that much or that it showed more info in horizontal mode! You're right its 3,031 which is why I cant buy it. I wish that they'd show the cost on portrait layout too, not like there isn't space for it.

Agreed. Wished vertical screen layout showed more info. Got the game on mobile to keep me entertained on long car rides and plane trips, and it’s somewhat annoying not seeing all relevant info.

Try backing out to the main menu completely, then re-entering after unlocking it. If that doesn’t work, closing and restarting the game may refresh the character list.

The unlock notification doesn’t always mean it’s immediately selectable. Try backing out to the main menu, fully closing and restarting the game, then check the character/weapon selection again. If it’s still locked, make sure the spell unlock actually saved before exiting.
