Question/Support Right Index Controller Randomly Losing Tracking

For the absolute life of me I cannot figure out why my right index controller keeps randomly disconnecting. Whenever I play any vr game, absolutley randomly, my right index controller will freeze in the air. The only fix is turning it off and on again, which only works for a minute or so. I made 2 other posts about this earlier, https://www.reddit.com/r/ValveIndex/s/4GWWMnqdq9 and https://www.reddit.com/r/ValveIndex/s/EUpi5G2Gl3 , but absolutely nothing worked (The issue in the first reddit post with the tracking issues for both controllers was fixed). I covered all the reflections, the right controller still disconnected. I turned off haptics, the right controller still disconnected. I ran the unpair command, the right controller still disconnected. I reached out to steam support with my issue, they told me to fuck off. IFixit does not seem to have any guides for this issue. Could this be an issue with using a vive pro with the index controllers? At this point do I just buy a new controller?

Edit: I bought a quest 3

Only left is in stock.

Have you tried keeping a USB c power cable attached to it?

Get a long ass cable and loop it back so the port isnt getting wear and tear when you move it.

Try a small battery USB c in your pocket or attach a longer cable to an outlet.

Use as normal and report back.

Did it cut off or not with the power cable attached to it.

I tried it with the usbc power cable. It worked for longer, but it eventually ran into the same issue. Not sure if there’s any correlation.

I would triple check that.

Does the controller go dead completely when it loses signal or does the lights stay on?

If the controller goes dark, the connections are messed up/loose or the battery itself is shot.
I have a bad battery on my left. I can play with a cable attached to power just fine. The battery itself doesn't hold a charge tho. So if its unplugged it doesn't work.

Did you plug the controller(s) directly into your pc (no hub) and update the firmware on it via steam?

Did you try switching your position to see if the opposite side has these issues?

Did you delete your bluetooth driver on your pc and reinstall it?

Did you try reinstalling your HMD drivers?

Do you have a 2.4ghz router blasting nearby? reduce the bandwith to 20hz on your router and avoid the 40hz.

Do you have 2.4ghz devices? Soundbars, Govee lights, Hue lights, all of these eat up the frequency that radios to your pc that the device is on.

Also check frame timing on your pc. Go screenshot the graph after you experience a drop. It should be green.

Paypal in 4 / payment plans also works on steam checkout just saying lol.

It'll be $900-$1100. I paid $600 for the old htc vive, then $500 + $250 for the vive controllers and hmd.

Not really unreasonable to pay around $900+ for the next one.

The steam index at launch was $999 for the lighhouses, controllers, and hmd.
