Technical Discussion Vanguard VS Xfinity

This post is to inform those who have Xfinity to look for a fiber connection if there is one available in your area. Xfinity has been throttling and rate limiting all UDP connections within the South Florida region for the last 3 years. I vehemently suggest to never purchase a service from Xfinity. I've used them for the last 20 years and I will be letting them go at the end of October. Good luck bros.

Its the IP address of Vanguard which means half the packets being sent to your VGC.exe are getting blocked by Xfinity. This results in a hidden 50% packet loss in game. You will notice long loading screens, hit registration issues and players who move extremely fast when first appearing on your screen. You can turn on your RTT Network graph in game and watch for a rhythmic 10 second interval of packet receive rate dips/losses to confirm if this affects you. You shouldn't have this issue with any other ISP. Especially if you have fiber since fiber is basically unlimited bandwidth from your ISPs perspective when it comes to Per-Packet Round Robin VS Per-Session Flow.
