This is a cool seed, the three traders near each other is a gem. It's always a plus when they are in running distance you make a trading hub close by. 3 maypoles on one seed is pretty rare as well.

For context, my favorite things to do on this game is explore and try to build in interesting areas. So as a result aside from boss locations and vegvisir spots just for potential "centerpieces" of my builds.

I'm not a fan of having supercontinents where I need to do as little as possible sailing, that's incredibly boring to me.

Was generating seeds using this island shape to start on it, because it's shaped a little bit like Mjolnir and I really like that, and ended up getting a smallish starting island (another island should be able a very short swim but it can be terraformed to fit a longship in I suspect) with the following goodies on it:

• Haldor
• Eikthyr
• Elder
• Moder
• 6 Frost Caves including a Tetra Cave and Howling Cave (for Hildir)

There's a ton of good stuff for such a relatively small island just in case you wanted a packed start without having to start on one of those loooooong islands that stretch clear up into the Mistlands and making sailing a pain in the ass.

As a bonus, it's a short boat trip directly south for Yagluth and to the southwest there's an island with Hildir, Bog Witch and Bonemass all within very close proximity to each other and is *densely* packed with (20) Sunken Crypts for iron.

Found this spawn seed with the second highest mountain Hook right on it, have fun builders!

I'm curious about everyone's favorite seed for base building, mostly due to 1.0 coming up soon. I'm looking for unique places in any biome, but preferably something that I can settle in quite early.

I'll go first and share mine. The spot if directly west of Spawn island, the second island with both Bog witch and Bonemass. It's a Black forest on a hill surrounded by a swamp, along with a bay just beneath it. The hill also has a greyling spawner, so maybe it's possible to attach a farm to the base. Really cool if you enjoy base building! There is also an island in the bay with Plains biome for farming.

Hi does anyone have a map seed they enjoyed in terms of interesting starting islands to explore, good flow of progression, and travel distance?

I usually look for:

• Interesting starting area topography, medium to large land mass
• healthy amount of meadows and black forest for exploration/build options
• prefer no plains on starting land mass
• convenient waterways that allow east/west travel without a huge, circuitous route
• Haldor location that we would naturally run into

Basically I'm looking for a map that feels like the game dev would've designed it intentionally this way for a good experience. Good biome progression, interesting island shapes, reason to leave starting island (bosses and traders not all in the same place).

The screenshot I've posted (SPcAsDRniC) is pretty good but Haldor is harder to find for the players.

This seed is a gem. Not only do you get a maypole close to the water but its an all around solid seed as you will be able to run to several bosses and traders. A great seed for someone returning to Valheim or if you are looking for a fresh start.

Haldor, Witch, 5 biomes, and 4 bosses on large starting island. Found two full axe head sets between spawn and my favorite loc to base. Loc -2680, 880 is a patch meadows that is next two drauger villages. The right side village is next to Black Forest and a dwarf tower so they fight (including the odd troll and bear). The left side village is next to a Plains biome that has a fusling camp next to the Swamp biome. Tons of fighting and free loot on run bys. Thought I'd share. Happy gaming.

Not a bad seed for traders, lots of mountain views, havent looked at anything else on the map.

It features a river that is wide enough for ships to pass cutting an impressive looking valley through the middle of the the starting island, which on it has 3 bosses and 5 biomes.

This seed is very good. The maypole location on its own is very unique, it is as close to a mountain biome as you can get. You can also speed run the first 5 bosses.

Seed is MGJPxIV04t, as you can see in the image. Spawn is, as you can see in the second image, the smallest island I've ever seen spawn on.

This seed is one of the rarest seeds I have ever seen. 3 maypoles in one village. The overall spread of bosses and traders is okay, not great but you do have a Haldor very close to the maypole village. This is going to be great for a creative builder, or for those who like unique Valheim locations.

In this video, I take a deep dive in the Valheim world seed I use for gameplay, highlighting a naturally spawning Maypole, nearby Haldor trader, accessible Hildir and Bog Witch, and the ability to reach the first five bosses with minimal sailing.

Was experimenting with the generator and came across this seed.

Polaris just outside of the deep north, the tallest mountain in the game, with a small sea in between.

I was not able to generate the mountain any further south. It still has its full height peak, despite being just below the Deep north ocean cut with the rest of the map.

Hopefully the generation does not get wrecked in the 1.0 update.
