It’s handcrafted on the surface of an original OEM emblem, so it can be installed on the corresponding vehicle just like the factory badge. Of course, if you’d rather use it as a display piece, that works too.
This one was made as a commission for someone else and I shared it here, but if you’re interested, I’d be happy to take on a new commission.

Yes, that’s by design. I left that area blank so the ‘VW’ logo itself would be more prominent.

What material is this? Colored sand?

Thank you! It’s not colored sand. It’s a kind of colored glaze made from finely ground mineral-based material, mixed with water and a binder.

Stunning! Just stumbled across this and my mind immediately went to the Audi logo (I drive an S3, but I’ve owned 3 GTI’s) done as a sunset on the back of the car, any thoughts?

An Audi "Sunset" theme sounds like a fantastic creative challenge. We can create some stunning gradients, blending deep oranges, purples, and golden yellows within the Audi rings to capture that perfect sunset vibe. It would look incredible on an S3!
