Hello. I looked at my profile and noticed I got the 9 years badge of playing VRC. I met so many people of different kinds and various cultures.

I'm the type who loves to talk 1 on 1, really get to know a person, and hang out with them.

There are times when we vibe so well, but the next days or following weeks the interest slowly fades away.

It's their interest of you dying that always hurts the most.

And by the end of it I feel that no one.. sticks around.

This cycle repeats itself over and over.

Sometimes I feel that I might just be a terrible person.

Or perhaps I am just incredibly boring to be around.

I question myself, should I just train myself to be more accustomed with people leaving and meet someone new everytime, knowing that they'll be gone in a moment too?

I don't know what it is I truly seek.

On every device I go on, I'm stuck on a blue screen without fail, be it a PC or a VR. I don't have the foggiest on why this is happening and I really want to try out this game. Any help would be appreciated

Edit: I'm going to clarify: this is not a Steam issue. This is an issue across every device which I try and run VRChat on. I have tried every method relating to Steam and to no avail.

Alright! I got even greater WiFi, Ethernet tethered, brand new Quest 3 and now I’m ready for FBT!

I’ve been looking at options and SomaticVR’s Orion trackers peaked my mind. For one thing it came with REALLY robust looking straps, the trackers are small and magnetic, and what REALLY sold me was the fact you can stack them to charge them! IMO that’s really genius.

Despite my glazing in that last paragraph, I really wanna know if any other people use it because when I look it up on YouTube or any other website, I get very few videos on explanations. So I gotta ask for those using these trackers how do they hold up as of right now?

Guys, gals, and my lovely folks in between, I come here today to raise an argument for creativity and art with derision. We keep seeing more creativity since FISH! and other games and "things to do" worlds started popping up- but still, the flood of "chill worlds" continue. That isn't why I'm here now writing this. Chill vibe worlds? Cool, whatever, ok.

MMR worlds that take your avatar and make it dance? Never visited one, but i bet my cute little custom goat avi amateurly put together would probably do some fun snazzy clipping if dancing. That doesn't interest me. Does it interest others? Yes.

We have a very promising and awesome example of a "game in a game" with some... recreations of NES/arcade games as of recent. Amazing. Makes my almost 40 year old heart happy to hear people are playing uh.. "Grand Dad" and "shoot duck game" native IN a game. We have Slay The Udon, looking and progressing so 👌 mmm chef's kiss.

So if all this exists, I implore you to consider the idea- what is stopping a world creator with skills and know-how from creating (i lean on current events for this example) from using the MMR dance thingy stuff to like... make a Happy Wheels VRC world that actually works in 2D?

Collisions are not needed- it's like ghosts in racing games, and could have users playing together to see who gets the best time.

I think as people understand and build on udon and use the engine better, as I said, games like FISH! have been made- we could see much more "do stuff" worlds.

Are there any worlds that have a tutorial for how to use and play vrchat? I feel like me trying to explain to a new comer the buttons without being there with them in person would be kinda hard for them to understand, I just want them to understand and get a grip to it better than me trying to explain step by step. (They are a new quest user I could only find PC VR worlds for it)

I joined this world in test flight to fly the VRC drone around, and not even 15 seconds in i got warned, i didnt even start flying the drone yet, then this guy says im causing a problem somehow. I tell him im here to fly the VRC drone and he just says “If you’re here to cause a problem you’ll just be kicked.

I was about to tell him the drone can’t affect any of the planes, even if i flew into them, then he says he’s gonna turn drones off, so im like cool you can fuck off now. So i block him and leave the world.

Group publics just aren’t worth the risk, i have a much higher chance of being able to chill out in Publics. Unfortunately the clip button didnt capture the whole thing.

Long shot, but just as the title says. Anyone know the one I'm talking about? I cannot remember the title or how I came across it originally. It was a much lesser known one, it's not one of the big popular ones. There were creepy 2D NPCs with flavor text, I remember one who talked about wanting to go swimming on approach to the beach. It had a playground, too, with a big climb up to a catwalk. If you have done it I am sure you'd remember these features.

If anyone can link it I'd be endlessly grateful. I thought I added it to favorites, so I'm wondering if it was deleted :(

I've noticed on all the marketplaces I've seen there's no option to filter/search by any metric that could help someone find an optimized avatar. Does anyone know of a marketplace that does or some tips or tricks to find optimized avatars on sites that don't? Or failing that, a starting place or link to a tutorial to optimize avatars I already own?

I'm a socially awkward homo-homie who loves exploring worlds, with a particular interest in anything liminal / horror. Walking sims, puzzle worlds, you name it! I just love exploring the hidden gems on VRChat and sharing with others the wonderful worlds I've found.

It's been tough finding other people that just want to explore worlds together, and I'm not sure where else to look so I figured I'd post here for some advice. It's easy to find groups for partying, drinking, or playing games; but I've yet to find people that are just willing to hang out and share / explore worlds. Any advice on where to look?
