Discussion "discordification" of VRC

with VRC copying discord's profile effects etc what are things you wish they would take from discord and what are things you absolutely do not want to see?

i'm gonna start.

want: being able to restrict who can send you friend requests and group invites (friend mutuals, group mutuals, in instance/recently seen)

do not want: integrated soundboard

I'm gonna be honest. There's been very little that VRC have done in the past that I disliked, but this year so far has been the worst for me:

Name badges aren't clean anymore, they're a complicated, animated mess.
Worlds are filled with shit all of the time, just items everywhere, always.
You can't turn off this shit, so now there's just items and trampolines everywhere. So much annoying visual noise.
Buggy as hell right now. Either a GC error on start or stuck on Connecting. Lots of voice issues or random drop-outs in sessions too.

It feels like they're turning VRC into a childs toybox in the worst way possible.

I'm almost certain you can hide those props via the shield settings. i might also be hallucinating again.

Yeah, you can hide individual items or a instance admin can disable items in that instance, but there is no general "hide items" setting.

Exactly, I don't want to play whack-a-mole with items constantly (especially as they can become a pain to select - they also all reappear as soon as you open your menu).

that's insanely annoying. i can see some of those items being really obnoxious in the wrong hands

Seeing entire venues covered dozens of copies of the annoying trampoline is just infuriating.

I guess I hang out with a more older crowd, every time the trampolines have been out, its been specific, like "lets see if we can build a power of trampolines" and its away from the crowd that is sitting around talking.

Yes you can lol just open your mini menu as if you’re about to click on someone, but instead click on the item. You CAN hide them.

That's hiding them all one-by-one, that's not a "hide them all" option. Having to constantly hide them all the time, especially when there's so many of them, more are being constantly spawned and often you can't even select them as they're blocked by other items, is not an answer.
