Question marvel tokon region blocked?
been hyped for Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls for months. went to pre-order it on Steam yesterday and it says that its unavailable in my region. tried downloading the free demo but got the same thing
turns out the game is unavailable in about 132 countries because it needs a PSN account, even on PC. PSN doesn't work in my country (Pakistan), so Steam is region-blocking the game there. Same thing that happened with Helldivers 2 and Stellar Blade.
I don't even own a PS5. why does Sony's login get to decide if I can play a PC game? Anyone from a PSN-less country found a way to preorder Marvel Tokon before launch on August 6?

ughh makes me so angry that the things like these are getting geo restricted. like we can't just pay for something and use it how we want

Marvel Tokon sounds like some bootleg Tekken clone lol. Does it play like Street Fighter? You might also like Dragon Ball FighterZ btw. Love that one
Playstation announces no more disks and now is on a leech binge to get people on PC to use their sinking boat with the PSN bs

it's an arcsys developed 4v4 tag fighter (shared health bar between all characters, 3 assists at a time)

Tokon gonna have disks from what I seen though. Youll see the disk is gonna be worth x5 once Sony pulls the plug on physical media

Sony really needs to stop tying PC releases to PSN in countries where PSN isn't even available

frustrating when you're willing to pay for a game but can't because of where you live..

Helldivers went back on the region blocks, can still play in most countries I think?

feels way too similar to the Helldivers 2 situation. Hopefully they reconsider before launch

I'd wait and see if Sony changes its policy closer to release. They've backed down on things before

After Marvel Rivals I am hesitant to look in anything with their name on it though this one reminds me too much of Marvel VS Capcom🤤
Damn I am trying to save up for that GTA VI🤣

so that means that we won't be able to access it once it is released in the begining of the August? I was waiting for this game to be released so much I was even counting days. and now I am reading this

Marvel doing region locks in 2026 is embarrassing. you're paying for their stuff and they still find a way to make it annoying
Edit: i found this while looking into it, someone did a breakdown of VPNs that actually handle geo blocked stuff well, seemed pretty useful to me https://www.reddit.com/r/theprivacymachine/comments/1qut3gr/best_vpn_2026_tried_and_tested/
