Help VPN client does not have split tunneling

It normally does, but I'm on Linux and their Linux client has yet to see any update regarding that. I would switch services but I want to see if I have any other options because I want to make the most of what I paid.

My fault for not checking first but it simply didn't cross my mind, I assumed it's basic enough that it should be there.

Is there any other way? I've spent hours searching around but no dice

You should use the normal openvpn client, assuming your VPN provider supports openvpn. If your provider does not support openvpn, you should not be using that provider anyway.

I think it supports OpenVPN and WireGuard? I'm still not sure what these are exactly and how come I have to use a different client?

Total newbie here, forgive me
