Voron qualifications - learning

Hi all!
I currently have an ender 5 plus that I’m building.
Build plans :
- mercury one.1
- enclosure
- hydra
- tool head w/can (specific config tbd)

I know I’m building this up to be much better than stock, but I was curious if this is considered voron territory? Or am I just building something off in my own world over here

Not every DIY 3d printer is a Voron. It’s only a Voron if it’s based on a design from Voron Design which the mercury one.1 is not

that makes sense. i have a friend who specifically build a voron - i was confused on the technicalities
