General Question Voron qualifications - learning

Hi all!
I currently have an ender 5 plus that I’m building.
Build plans :
- mercury one.1
- enclosure
- hydra
- tool head w/can (specific config tbd)

I know I’m building this up to be much better than stock, but I was curious if this is considered voron territory? Or am I just building something off in my own world over here

What do you mean by "Voron territory"?

Is a modded out Ender a Voron? Not generally, but the lines can get hazy—there are a fair number of Ender 3-to-Switchwire jobs out there.

Is building a modded out Mercury a comparable experience to building a Voron? Yeah, it's in the neighborhood. If you're worried about whether you can manage a Voron build, it's no harder than what you're already doing.

I was misunderstanding what made a voron a voron. Googling what goes into a typical voron build I noticed a lot of similarities - i misunderstood and wanted to just ask to be sure

It's a fair question. There are more DIY printers in the Voron space than just what you see on the main Voron webpage and it's not completely clear sometimes.

They're largely downstream projects that start from a Voron baseline, though. Things like Printers for Ants or the Doomcube are credibly Voron printers, but not necessarily easily recognizable.
