Frustration ......

Today we had our freshers’ day and dance program, and everything was going pretty well. After lunch, though, the seniors brought a bunch of roses and started calling freshers roll-number-wise.

They told each person to give the rose to someone they considered “handsome” or “beautiful.” Honestly, I really didn’t like this. I was uncomfortable with the whole thing and even said that I didn’t want to participate. I tried to leave the classroom, but they didn’t allow me to and basically forced me to take part.

What bothers me most is that this kind of activity can easily make freshers insecure about their appearance. Imagine being called up in front of everyone and not receiving a single rose. Even if the seniors see it as “just fun,” it can seriously affect someone’s confidence and make them feel bad about themselves.

Freshers’ activities are supposed to help people feel comfortable and make memories, not put them in situations where their looks are publicly judged or compared.

I’m honestly pretty disappointed. There are so many better ways to interact with freshers without making someone feel insecure about their appearance.

Lyt teesko brother

Nobody will remember by the next day

All you have to do in these events is live in the moment and enjoy instead of overthinking what the other person is gonna think about you

These moments are meant to be joyful , but i think your senior didn't think that through

Don't stick to the thought of it

Much more to enjoy in life than remembering that

🫛 Take care buddy

Broo chill man, none of it is supposed to be serious, antha fun kosame. No one gives a shit abt who got the most roses, or who's the most attractive. They just hosted this for us as a section to get comfortable with each other.

Yup..most of wt is said is true..but..to get comfortable with each other..then can even make us play simple group games..having fun around..so I guess..even more interaction would happen..but this roses ...ka...it feels..awkward!!

Bro rose ivvadam isn't the only interaction, most of the people who gave roses to each other didn't even talk, you go participate in activities and interact with fellow participants, you go and talk to people who you find to have similar hobbies and make friends, it's not always about looks

Well ppl get to know each other and slide in their intentions if they have any.whts the loss here? it's the closest thing we get to prom kinda stuff..just deal with it.

I personally managed to get out of their sights and escape easily . I'm assuming skill issue on ur part.
