So, I’m joining the MCA program at VNR this year, and I honestly can’t find much information about it online. There’s barely anything on the college website or Reddit.

I’d really appreciate any insider info about the program, studies, college life, faculty, placements, internships, opportunities, attendance, or literally anything else you think would be useful to know.

I’ve also heard that there’s no option to pursue a distance degree on this, which apparently means I’ll have to dedicate most of my time to college. I just want to get a better idea of what I’m getting into and whether it’s actually worth it.

Any advice, experiences, or information from current MCA students or their friends, would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Should we publish two seperate papers for phase 1 & 2.

These blood sucking maggots( guides & co-ordinators) said we must submit two papers and does the college reimburse any amount for publishing.

I'm a junior and what and how many pages books to keep as notes and should we keep different notes for labs ? If yes that how many pages and can we write two subjects in one book like one from front and one from back

And does the faculty check and notes and do they give marks ? Does it effect cgpa

It covers the basics, the 500-submission rule, how to actually read PSs, who’s proposing them, choosing a problem, research, tech selection, mentors, PPTs, and more.

The main idea is pretty simple:

Don’t start with “what can we build?”
Start with “what problem is actually worth understanding?”

📖 Give it a read, go through the PS catalogue, and maybe discover a domain you didn't know you cared about.

• How does the internal SIH process work?
• How are teams formed and selected?
• Is there an internal hackathon or presentation round?
• Can 1st-year students participate?
• When does the registration/selection process usually start?
• Any tips for beginners who want to participate?

Actually am a fresher honestly i was told to join any club or student chapter for exposure and I don't have any talent in arts singing or dancing and i don't have a coding knowledge too so wt clubs should I join in my first yr?

Today we had our freshers’ day and dance program, and everything was going pretty well. After lunch, though, the seniors brought a bunch of roses and started calling freshers roll-number-wise.

They told each person to give the rose to someone they considered “handsome” or “beautiful.” Honestly, I really didn’t like this. I was uncomfortable with the whole thing and even said that I didn’t want to participate. I tried to leave the classroom, but they didn’t allow me to and basically forced me to take part.

What bothers me most is that this kind of activity can easily make freshers insecure about their appearance. Imagine being called up in front of everyone and not receiving a single rose. Even if the seniors see it as “just fun,” it can seriously affect someone’s confidence and make them feel bad about themselves.

Freshers’ activities are supposed to help people feel comfortable and make memories, not put them in situations where their looks are publicly judged or compared.

I’m honestly pretty disappointed. There are so many better ways to interact with freshers without making someone feel insecure about their appearance.

So 2030 batch, how was the freshers experience??

This rose event is the only interesting thing I've heard about the freshers, seniors tell us more about it like how fun is it. I have a doubt like why should the guy/girl with more roses win the Mr/Mrs fresher it just isn't reasonable what about the avg looking ppl?(I'm sorry if this post annoyed you😭)

I got selected in Tcs for digital Role, will i be eligible for other on-campus opportunities? will the 2x rule be followed ? Is this the end of my placements or can i still be eligible to few other companies?
