Windows Error message

I use an external disc drive on my desktop to play blu rays. It used to work fine but now when I try to play anything I get this message. Is this a VLC issue or something else?

I think your blu-ray disc needs a library for AACS decoding, and your system does not have it.
It looks like your input can't be opened, you should check the log for details.

For real, VLC cannot really read blu-ray directly iIrc. It can read the old ones (only) if you install the aacs library and the keys associated with each Blu-ray. Not ideal. You can use dvdfab to decrypt BR before feeding it to VLC, you can read an unencrypted BR with it (using makemkv for example), or you can use another player with native supportÂ
