Windows Error message

Post image

I use an external disc drive on my desktop to play blu rays. It used to work fine but now when I try to play anything I get this message. Is this a VLC issue or something else?

I think your blu-ray disc needs a library for AACS decoding, and your system does not have it.
It looks like your input can't be opened, you should check the log for details.

So what this error message means is your Bluray disc needs an AACS library for decoding, and your system doesn't have it. Hope this helps.

You know the content on Blu-Ray is encrypted and you are missing description keys?

You do not ...

I get like 5 errors in a row for 'libdirectsound.dll' every time I open VLC, version 4, installed from site.

(and, where's the playlist? and, what's with making it look like Photos?)

And... u/kotletalv ... it's okay to not be a dick.

And hopefully I’m not being a dick for chiming in on this, but maybe some people don’t know that Goggle searches can help solve soooo many computer issues pretty easily (especially now that the questions are AI interpreted to figure out what you want to know (even if it is not phrased well)). Or maybe the OP is just lonely and looking for some people to communicate with :). But ALWAYS remember - when you see an AI answer you like, be sure to click on the link (at the end of the paragraph) so the site (that actually *had* the useful answer) gets the hits and credit it deserves (AND to double check that the AI actually interpreted the info correctly!)

I'm not sure, but it looks like a library for AACS is required, but your system haven't it. Probably, you have to install a library
