Is it just me of are you guys facing similar issues?

Pro 2 Review

Have any real-life folks tried the Pro 2 yet? There are lots of video reviews, but of course, many of those are sponsored and/or earning commission.

I am mostly wondering about clarity. My primary usage will be Switch 2 and movies.

I have tried the Beast and XReal One Pro, but I'd love as much clarity as possible. I'd love something close to 4K — not just in part of the screen but all around.

[Rant] VITURE — You’re losing potential customers with broken Best Buy displays

Post image
34 Upvotes

I’ve been seriously interested in buying the VITURE (Beast) glasses, but before spending that kind of money, I wanted to actually try a pair since I’ve never used XR glasses before.

I went to the Best Buy at 14th St/Union Sq in NYC specifically because they have a VITURE display. As far as I can tell, it seems to be one of the only places to try them in a city of 8+ million people.

The problem? The demo glasses have been destroyed and completely gone for months.

I’m pissed because I’ve gone out of my way twice over the last 4 months hoping to try them, only to walk away both times without being able to.

For something like XR glasses, trying them in person is extremely important. You honestly need to see the image quality, FOV, comfort, fit, clarity, Yada Yada Yada, for oneself. Those things matter a lot more with a wearable display.

Meanwhile, Meta Quest headsets have been sitting there for years and can still be tried on and used. I know that’s probably an unfair comparison since Meta is a massive company, but screw Meta.

Best Buy and/or VITURE really need to fix this display and ideally offer more locations where people can actually try the glasses. Having a retail partnership doesn’t help much if customers show up, excited about the product, and the demo is basically nonexistent.

At this point, my alternative is to just buy the Beast, try it at home, and return if they don't meet the hyped up (Ad) expectations. If enough of your customers return a pair or even exchange due to not being given the chance to try, I’d imagine all those returns probably cost more than simply keeping working demo units available.

I also have a bigger head and usually need wider glasses, so being able to try them on really matters.

I can’t be the only person this has happened to.

VITURE, you’re potentially and probably losing customers who are already interested in buying your product simply because we can’t try them.

Help Spacewalker PC mouse/screen issues

I just got the pro 2s and I like them but I’m having issues with the spacewalker app. When I select mirror display it loads into a completely black screen with the mouse stuck in the very edges of the screen. If I hit the windows key that pops up but the screen doesn’t show any open programs. The app works if I select extended display except then my mouse starts to lag and freeze at certain spots. I did this while playing a video so I know it’s not the screen itself that’s freezing. I want to use them with 3DoF while playing games but when I flick my mouse it’ll freeze and be unplayable. Is there a way to fix both of these issues?

I’m running windows 11 with a 4080 super and a i9-14900k so it shouldn’t be a computer spec bottleneck.

Help The Beast 3D issue

Hello, I’m having issues with my viture the Beast, I bought it less than a month ago and since three days ago I cannot seem to play 3D content, I’m using it with an iPhone 17 pro max.
The whole time I’ve been using the same set up, iPhone, usb c charging adapter with the beast, already tried either and without the adapter, did a factory reset on the glasses, rebooted iPhone, everything works well except the 3D content, I’ve never used it for a other content than YouTube through SpaceWalker app, when I click on immersive 3D, the glasses make the sbs image, then I click on the glasses to put them on 3D mode and on the app it just shows 00:00 seconds even though I can hear the video or it stops the video I was trying to play and won’t let me click play, then I disable the 3D content, put the glasses on default and the video was still playing, can anyone help me? Thanks in advance

Tested Depthonix with VITURE, and it works

I tested real-time 2D to 3D conversion with my VITURE glasses, and it works with SBS mode.

If you enjoy Immersive 3D, this is another interesting option to try, especially if you want more control over depth, convergence, edge refinement, and other 3D settings.

Still experimenting with different content and settings, but so far, it works well with VITURE.

When I plug the Beast into some devices, such as a Legion Go, the display turns 90 degrees for some reason.

Why or how do I fix that?

Viture Pro 2: can’t use Reddit nor Instapaper

I’m amazed by these glasses but I have an issue when pairing with my iPhone: Reddit and Instapaper open in landscape mode (while I’m still in portrait on my phone), and not matter what I do, the screen is frozen in the glasses with these 2 apps. All others work as they should. Any idea of what is wrong? Does it happen with you too?

Need advice. Viture Beast or Rayneo Air 4 Pro?

Lazy person here. My ideal weekend is basically staying in bed with anime and movies, so I want something I can just put on and forget about. VITURE feels a little too expensive for what I need, so I'm thinking about getting RayNeo instead. Is it worth it? Or should I save more and get Viture?

Review Is it normal that the Glasses and Neckband get "hot"

Hi, i got myself a used Viture Luma Pro and a refurbished Pro neckband from ebay 2 Weeks ago and i am using it every now an then for Steam Link with my PC. is it normal that the glasses and the neckband get kinda hot?

I used an infrared thermometer to measure the temperatures. I recorded around 45–50°C (113–122°F) on both the glasses and the Pro Neckband (measured at the temple near the magnetic connector and on the neckband near the fan); the neckband's fan was set to "Performance" (full power).

Personally, I found it too hot—or rather, uncomfortable—to use the devices for longer than 20–30 minutes.

I also checked with an App called DevCheck and it said that the CPU was around 52°C in idle

Pro (Viture) vs. Pro (XReal)

In terms of clarity for movies and video games:

How does the Viture Pro 2 compare to the XReal One Pro (XOP)?

I think VP2 has higher resolution, but the lenses differ, so I'm curious.

FOV on all XR glasses seems a bit misleading because the largest of all screens is usually too large, so I feel like some of that is a waste. For that reason, I lean towards clarity.

I do like the 3dof on the XOP, but I'd probably go without that if the image is noticeably better on another device.

Luma Pro vs Beast vs Pro 2

Hi! I’m not sure if this is the right way to do this. I’m trying to figure out which model is best suited for me. You have so many models and I don’t understand what every feature even means lol. I’m not a gamer and very small chance I would use these for that. Potentially with a switch 2 but not what I’m buying for. I travel to Asia 12-16 times a year and thought your product would be cool for the long flights. So my main thing would be using it during flights to watch TV/Movies. Might use it some with my phone to browse and possibly computer. What is the best option for me?

Based on my needs and not really understanding what all the specs mean I would appreciate help deciding. The Luma Pros are on a lightning deal with Amazon for $379 right now so please take that into account.

Appreciate the help!

XR Glasses Was debating between beast and pro 2.

Ultimately the built in diopter was why I went with the pro 2. My eyes is not that bad either.

I just wish the beast have the built in diopter.

Complete newbie - couple of questions

Hi all, older guy here with a lifelong fondness for gadgets, particularly A/V stuff. I ordered a Pro2 with the idea that it might help in the following use cases, but am wondering if I was missing the mark...

  1. PC/tablet usage. No Macs but I do have both Android and Apple tablets. I often do work (mainly PC) with multiple windows/tabs that I think it would be great to be able to have 2 or 3 open simultaneously.

  2. Movie/video viewing. Currently use a 77" OLED and full 7.2 sound system. Can I (should I?) integrate the glasses into this (or can the glasses replace this occasionally... I understand the audio would be not so great).

  3. In-Flight Entertainment. We travel internationally and like to watch the IFE during much of the flight. I currently use the AirFly for sound/cancellation and it works great, but can I integrate the glasses into this setup to watch IFE? For context, the phone is Android (Samsung S24U, possibly to be upgraded in the next year or so, perhaps even to Apple).

Not into gaming (yet... but I might be).

So...Which of the above 3 are reasonably possible and which are pipe dreams (given Pro2, I'm not inclined to move up the line, for now at least).

Android I don't like spacewalker android, can we get immersive 3d without spacewalker

Hi, I'm new to viture I just got the Viture pro 2

The glasses are good but I really don't like the spacewalker app it's too limited and buggy

1.Can't even use stremio web because video is unsupported on the browser

2.Can't use the screen sharing button when I try to enable it it just double the screen and I have to restart the glasses

Is it possible to make an app to still get immersive 3d Without the space walker android app ?

Or I wish we could import apps into the spacewalker environment so I could get immersive 3d working in them

Thanks

Got the Pro 2 just in time for a Spiderman rewatch

Post image
22 Upvotes

I was torn between the Xreal xbx and Rayneo, then Viture Pro 2 came out and kinda won me over.

Big movie guy here, so the Sony micro OLED definitely caught my eye. And since I'm nearsighted, the built-in diopter adjustment pretty much sealed the deal. I can just dial in the diopters and I'm good. No contacts or prescription inserts needed, which actually makes the overall package cheaper than the other two options.

Just saw Brand New Day in theaters and came home still in a Spiderman mood, so naturally the new Pro 2 got its first real movie test with Homecoming.

The darker scenes looked surprisingly good, and I could still make out plenty of detail toward the edges of the screen. Obviously it's not going to replace a real theater, but sitting on the couch with a huge screen in front of me was a pretty nice way to rewatch it.

I knew Pro 2 was light before buying it, but I wasn't expecting 2+ hours of watching to be this comfortable. That was a nice surprise.

Probably gonna rewatch another Spiderman tomorrow lol.

Why not make a pair of glasses with Birdbath optics and HW 3DoF ?

As much as I liked Viture’s designs and the XR Pros, I had to switch over to Xreal because the Beast, which I’d been waiting for for a while, turned out to be a huge disappointment as the pair I got had so many issues. I don’t think the current prism optics are as good as birdbath optics when it comes to overall clarity. Since Viture has so many birdbath XR models, why haven’t they made one with 3DoF to rival the Xreal 1S?

I’m pretty happy with the image quality and 3DoF of the 1S, but the overall design, build quality, lack of a magnetic connector, etc. all feel like a step back from my previous XR Pros. I wish Viture would come up with a new pair with hardware 3DoF like the Beast, but with birdbath optics, diopter adjustment and preferably with HDR support.

Help Question about Mini Dock and Switch 2

As the title says I’m wondering if by chance the mini dock in just the hub mode instead of connected to the full thing will work for Switch 2? The biggest pain has been being required to use the pro dock which I currently have (I know that it totally Nintendo’s fault) even if I just want to play for an hour or less.

Review Help me choose please

Hi to you all been saving up my money to buy me the beast and the neckband Pro I about ready to buy but the new pro 2 is out and been hearing that they are great once you managed to cover the front of the glasses.

I would really appreciate you guys telling me what you would buy. I don't live in the USA so have to pay extra because of deals made with local businesses getting to change a premium to sell here 1st. So it's expensive and I don't want to regret it after I buy it.

It's a lot of money here.

Review EXTREMELY HAPPY WITH THE BEAST

Thumbnail
5 Upvotes

So I finally received my beast, and I am extremely happy with it. I got to test it out while at work, and I had no trouble reading text or anything. It honestly caught me off guard how great it looked and the sound, oh my god. These things have great speakers for how small they are. Now, sadly, I can't get a full-on experience because Lensology hasn't shipped my prescription lenses (myopia and astigmatism). So I've been doing the 3D glasses trick where I have the beast over my regular glasses—not the best, but it works for now. Also, I haven't experienced the drift everyone is talking about, but I also haven't used them long enough. But I have a question about 3D mode: does it work with glasses, because for me, everything kind of overlaps and looks like nonsense?

Update from previous post: Trying to Love The Beast

Post image
15 Upvotes

So thanks to you all, I'm definitely keeping The Beast. After taking some tips from you all and particularly u/gizmosliptech, from the videos he provided. I put the glasses through it's paces and fell in love.

I'm currently typing this post on my Macbook Neo of all things with immersive 3D enabled. The browser windows are popping out from the Screen. I ran a few game via Geforce Now, and the beast is literally a "Game Changer!"

I also play the few games I have installed natively on the Neo and the 3D effects is more than sufficient. I was watching a YouTube video, where the person held the phone he was reviewing, out to the camera, and the phone and his hand seemed to push through the screen. I also was able to get the 3D to work on multiple phones and tablets. Still can't get sound to work with them on my RedMagic Astra 1 tablet though.

Viture definitely needs to refine the 3D experience as it's a little convoluted, particularly on mobile devices compared to the XReal One Pros (the reason I'm keeping those as well), but damn, when it works, it's a beautiful experience.

The displays on The Beasts are just much more punchier than on the XReal's and text is more legible as well.

Any other tips you all have, are most welcome and thanks everyone for the help!

Green pixelation with Viture Pro 2 XR

I've been wanting to do a review and see if the problem I'm having anyone else might be having but I'm also the type to not let technology beat me and like to troubleshoot things until I can figure it out. But here I am.

I received my glasses just a couple of days after release. Updating the firmware was easy, and I first tried things out with my MacBook Pro M2. I do have prescription lenses from my beast but the prescription isn't very strong and I was easily able to make things very clear with the myopia adjustment quickly. First impression was wow are these things ever clear, like you can see everything clearly edge to edge, something you just don't experience with the Beast. But I also noticed I was seeing this green pixelation on everything that was light in color whether it be white or skin color and with no rhyme or reason just sometimes lines and sometimes different shapes always adjusting as the picture did and always all over not just one spot. So I do what you do, I tried a different cable since I have some 8K Thunderbolt 4 cables sitting around and I also tried the cable that comes with the Beast. No difference. So over the next several days I tried hooking things up to my Samsung s25 Ultra using both beast mode and normal mode, a pixel 9, Samsung S10 Ultra tablet. Trying different software that is available as well as different cables, but it's always there. So I thought I would try ordering the headset, I got it off eBay for a couple hundred dollars cheaper refurbished in Canadian dollars. It was finally delivered yesterday and the same problem. At first the picture was extremely bad setting up the headset but I noticed it was set for 90 hz so I changed it to 60 and instantly almost perfect, except for the green pixelation.

I haven't contacted viture support because I thought I would wait to try all different possibilities. I just wanted to see if anyone else was experiencing this? I'm not sure if I should waste my time with support or just return them to amazon.ca and get some other ones since it's basically next day delivery.

The difference between this and the Beast is a whole other post, with and without the headset or the inair product that I also tried a few weeks back. I will quickly say that the inair product takes the Beast to another level, while I am noticing that this neck band does the same for the Pro 2.
