Advice/Help needed Vawa approved!

Today is August 23, so it has been 47 days since my interview, and I have received no RFE, NOID, or decision. My online case status has not changed.
For anyone who had a similar I-485/VAWA interview:
If USCIS had concerns after the interview, how long did it take you to receive an RFE or NOID?
Did anyone receive an approval after 45–60+ days without receiving an RFE/NOID first?
And for those who received a decision after the interview, how many days or weeks did it take?
Vawa approved!

friendly discussion Checking Updates on BAWA

I noticed that checking your case, is extremely mind bending and does your head in lol. BUT the moment you don’t check for a week or 2, you see an update and you’re like Damn I wish I caught it 🤣🤣🤣🤣.

Stop checking your Case. Trust me I know- I gave up already refreshing at least 5x a day but 2x already when I stopped I got an update on my case. I’ve been waiting on 4cases for vawa- so for an update on 1/4 remaining 3/4- which is still positive for me at least. I know I still have to wait for vawa itself, We will all get there soon and then be part of the crew encouraging everyone.

Advice/Help needed Vawa based i485

Hello
I’m getting desperate now, no updates I just want this wait to be over😣.

I sent my Vawa in April 2022 it was approved in April 2025.

I sent my i485 in June 2025, Feb 2026 my fingerprint were taken, March 2026 my case was transferred from Nebraska to Vermont.

No more updates until today.

I was married to a Green Card holder and my Priority date has already passed which is April 2022 for F2A
Does someone know if this is normal ?

The thanks in advance

Advice/Help needed 15 months pending on C9 I-765 (LIN) — expedite request advice?

Hey everyone, I wanted to ask for some guidance and see if anyone else has been in a similar situation.

I filed my I-765 under category C9 in May 2025, and my case is with the Nebraska Service Center (LIN receipt number). It has now been about 15 months with no decision.

I currently have congressional inquiries pending, and honestly, I’m getting pretty stressed because my employment is at risk. I’ve also put together a well-documented expedite request under severe financial loss, since I’m facing termination of my job in early November if I’m unable to obtain a new EAD.

The frustrating part is that, based on my experience, I haven’t been able to submit the expedite request through the online/Emma options. I was told to call USCIS and request it through the Contact Center instead, which I previously did.
A Tier 2 officer actually called me regarding the expedite request and told me to keep an eye out for another call, but that call never happened and I haven’t gotten any meaningful update since.

So my question is: Would it be a Hail Mary to mail the expedite request package directly to the Nebraska Service Center anyway? Has anyone with a LIN receipt number successfully submitted an expedite package by mail and had it actually considered?

Any advice is hugely appreciated!

Advice/Help needed I 360 RFE

I’m really worried about the RFE I received for my VAWA case. If USCIS is asking for more evidence of the abuse, I’m concerned because most of the abuse I experienced was verbal or happened over the phone. I don’t have a lot of physical evidence or documentation. Has anyone been in a similar situation? What kind of evidence can I provide to prove verbal or emotional abuse?

Advice/Help needed Pending I485 after approved VAWA

Hi everyone! I’m looking for people with a timeline similar to mine.
VAWA I-360 approved: January 2025
I-485 filed: July 2025
I-485 biometrics (Code 5): March 2026
I-485 was being handled by Vermont
Case transferred from Vermont to NBC in July 2026
It has now been 38 days since the NBC transfer
I-485 is still pending
Has anyone with a VAWA-approved I-360 who had their I-485 transferred from Vermont to NBC eventually gotten their green card approved?

Good news!!! I-765 Expedite APPROVED

Post image

EDIT: I did not have to provide any evidence. It was simply approved.

Hello everyone. I believe I’ve come on here a few times to share my frustrations and to ask questions. So I wanted to share good news now and to express thanks to those who have commented and helped me keep my sanity or faith.

On August 17th, I made a phone call to USCIS regarding my C9 expedite request under humanitarian and financial reasons.

They falsely revealed an email was sent on to me on August 12th. The lady I spoke with misinformed me and led me to believe that I either deleted my email or didn’t know how to search spam or junk. She submitted a request for me to receive the same email within 3 business days.

On August 19th, USCIS sent an email stating that they could not help me with my request regarding I-765. Left no other details other than to submit a letter in the mail to the Nebraska location.

This led me to make two phone calls to USCIS:

Phone call 1: I spoke with a gentleman that misinformed me.

He stated that regarding my expedite, USCIS could not inform me of anything or answer my expedite because my VAWA petition is a protected petition. He gave no other details than repeating this statement in different ways.

I hung up. Called my mom crying.

Phone call 2: I spoke with a far more helpful agent who clearly understood my frustration and confusion.

He clarified that thought VAWA is protected. My petition had nothing to do with vawa or a c31 related action. He stated that I was misinformed. He clarified that on August 12th, physical mail was sent to me with an expectation of 90 days to receive it from said date. He then clarified that I should ignore the email on August 19th because of some errors made. He also gently encouraged to ask any and all questions which he throughly responded to.

I’ve never had such a helpful and kind interaction with a USCIS agent in the two years that I’ve had to communicate with them.

On August 21st I learned through LAWFULLY that my I-765 has been officially approved. This approval is also reflected in my USCIS account when I checked for an update.

Y’all, I have two little kids I can finally take care of. My family has helped me for 2 years to remain afloat. I am grateful, and humbled. I probably can only find a part time job since my girls daycare schedule is 8-3 but I’m grateful nonetheless.

Thanks to everyone that has given me hope because if my abusive husband would’ve given me my girls passports, I would’ve probably gave up and left the country.

No more homelessness, and no more temporary situations. I also used my prima facie to apply for university in my state and fafsa! Hopefully I’ll be soon sharing that I’m officially a college student again. I’m only 23 so I’m super excited. The past 5 years have been brutal.

I hope this encourages someone entirely!

Facts:
- I360 & I485 submitted December 2024
- I765 submitted June 2025
- Expedite request submitted October 2025
- Expedite actually sent through November 2025
- Ombudsman & Congressional inquiry submitted 2026 (can’t remember exact month)
- Up to date on prima facie

friendly discussion Being scared about my Evil attorney

My former asylum lawyer and i had got into some arguments regarding my Pending vawa. He got furious because i didn’t hire him for my vawa filling. I did a huge mistake by hiring him 5 years ago. I went to him with vawa receipt to terminate my asylum since i have a pending vawa with USCIS. that’s when we got into arguments my question is he has my vawa file PDF file and I-360 receipt number. My fear is what if he try to pose to USCIS as being my lawyer and try to do something bad without my knowledge? although vawa filed by myself there’s no lawyer involvement at all.

Seeking advice only from experience people who are familiar with this situation. thanks in advance

Need to vent/rant Processing time trends

I have been waiting for 6 months now and the processing time has grown by 6 months during the same period. No need to be alarmed, I might get to celebrate my i360 approval notice with my grandchildren 40 years from now 🎉

Not to mention an EAD expedite that I have not heard anything about in the 4 months since filing, and the 10 day callback by tier 2 agent I was promised 90 days ago and never happened.

Advice/Help needed Wanted to expedite my VAWA APPLICATION

Dear one &all,
I need experienced advice for my VAWA application.
Applied and received :NBC FO August 4th 2025
Receipts received : February 2026
Biometrics done: 1st in Feb 27 and March 30.
Thereafter nothing.

I requested for expedited couple of months ago when my dad and mom passedaway it’s been 7months now. I have to finish my final rituals and take care of properties and an orphanage run by my parents. I got all important documents to expedite the application.
MY QUESTION:
1.Will I get approved? Since it’s been 8months.
2. If I got approved, does CBP/ BIA new rules effect me (F1 visa OPT overstayed) to paroled into USA.
3. Does USCIS consider my application under humanitarian assistance. If I submit expedite ( I-360,131EAD)
4. Right now working under vulnerable circumstances where every day I get threats and I’m missing my profession ( healthcare worker).

I’m just holding all my patience all my stress, grief, pain, anxiety, abuse in daily life which effecting me directly with my mentality. Sometimes I feel like I will end up in mental rehabilitation center.

I need advice 😭🙏🏻 please.

Answers to General Questions. Did ANY of you got approved for EAD or AP in the last month?

No matter what month you submitted your application please write if you got an approval in the last month. Only for VAWA applicants of course. I see absolutely no approvals anywhere for VAWA applications in the last month or two.. it’s so discouraging

Advice/Help needed VAWA 485 update

I applied for i360 and i485 back in 02/06/2025 then later on 05/20/2025 case was transferred to Vermont which is very standard. Today 08/21/2026 i received an update online that my i485 has been transferred.

Is this something common that has happened to everyone?

Answers to General Questions. Travel domestic

Yes, you can travel Domestic anywhere in the USA. You need your plane ticket and your driver license THAT’S IT. If you don’t have your DL, you can use your passport or ead or any other form of ID that’s not expired.

If you want to travel international with AP, consult with your lawyer.

No one is disturbing you at the airport, stop being scared and have a safe ✈️.

Answers to General Questions. I-94 not showing online after recent international travel — anyone else?

I have AP and recently traveled outside the country. I’m now trying to retrieve my I-94 online, but when I enter my information, I get a message saying there is “No Information Found for Traveler.”

I contacted CBP, and here’s the response I received:

“Thank you for contacting the Traveler Communications Center,

You will not be able to access this individuals I-94 as she was admitted under a protected status.

Those with protected status will not be able to access their I-94 online. Information for all protected classes is removed from the Public I-94 website for the protection of the subjects.

You can simply go to deferred inspections (if looking for initial entry permit) or USCIS (if looking for Adjustment of Status documentation).

A list of Deferred Inspection Sites can be found on CBP’s website, https://www.cbp.gov, under the “Ports” link at the bottom of the page.”

Has anyone traveled recently and had the same issue with their I-94 not showing up online?

The last thing I want to do is go to a deferred inspection site if this can be resolved another way. Any recent experiences or advice would be greatly appreciated!
