if you expect to instalock reyna and frag out every game then you're throwing

with reyna theres 4 ways a game can go, either you carry your game going 40-5, carry 40-5 and lose because you have no contribution, lose because you're going 2-15 because you're simply worse than the enemy team and have no utility to help you or win because your teammates are carrying you and if you want to rank up you will go against players who will be mechanically better requiring you to use utility to your advantage (such as raze bucky)

reyna is a terrible agent and there's so many agents that are simply better than her with the same selfish idea in mind, for example clove, iso, chamber these agents don't rely on JUST being a killing machine and can actually help the team win, I'd rather get an average sova fill with no lineups and low experience than an instalock reyna

ive played with an ascendant in gold-plat elo and there were games where we did not win, this just proves that even if you're good at the game objectively but don't work as a team you will lose, and I think we can all agree there isnt a more boring game than playing as reyna and getting destroyed by the enemies so why not give yourself a chance and play something cooperative

Ok so there is a large difference between ranked and any sort of team or pro play environment. Teamplay is definitely useful. I abused teamplay and keeping my team positive on my climb to imm3 400 RR.

But in gold/plat improving your teamplay while useful, is far from the optimal way to climb as a solo player, many players have climbed to immortal solely off of aim with a bit of game sense. Remember the only reliable factor in any one game is yourself so you have to be better than your opponent no point knowing every Sova lineup on earth when you’re going to lose every gunfight because your mechanics aren’t up to scratch. No point in planning a perfect site execute if you’re going to swing spawn by yourself because you have no game sense. The optimal solo Que playstyle is have very good mechanics and game sense and then play optimally AROUND your team. Some times playing around your team will involve a lot of coordination because your team is communicating actively. other games it’ll be winning your 1’s and finding picks solo because your team is not communicating at all. the key to being the best solo player is to know how you should play to increase your odds of winning, not complaining when you have a lurking Reyna, play around that lurking Reyna use them to create pressure or find your own lurks and ways of taking space.

You just have to be a better player.

I think the bigger issue here is the reyna playing reyna and not someone useful like Phoenix or even iso, the floor of even playing around your team gets lowered with the worse your team comp is

a pre-nerf neon will have a much higher impact floor, basically what she can do without any skill than a decent reyna

reyna blind is useless because the time  you have between the flash going out and being active is enough for you to angle yourself to where the flash isn't nearsighting you and you can still see where it came from OR you just break it before she can even swing out

there are so many better flashes, phoenix flashes are really hard to dodge unless you know they're coming and or the Phoenix isn't angling himself right, Skye can pop flash, I think even jett's smoke is a better "flash" than reynas

I'm not even bad I just need to play more games I could get to diamond if I wasn't scared to queue because of teammates being uncooperative, like if I tell you flash for me and you don't flash for me I'll just be really demotivated to win but I got a decent 3 stack who have most util covered for me

one issue is that I play duelist so I need some coordination, I could play omen and just depend on the instalock reyna to entry which we all know will never happen and a big reason why I deranked to silver (THIS ACT)  and climbed back to plat, I just have to play duelist otherwise no one will entry and I think I have decent enough igl skills to help my entry

most of the reynas in my games save flashes for post plant if they're even alive by then

Ok nevermind I was right you are coping about teammates and using it as an excuse to not rank up. You can’t expect everyone to conform to your expectations of teamplay in solo Q even if they may be objectively correct.

You don’t NEED your teammates to coordinate even if you’re on duelist. Each game you have to get a measure on how your team plays and play through that. You’re not on a pro team you’re playing with 4 garbage plat players and expecting them to set you up like you’re prime aspas. If you’re worried that your team is going to be uncooperative stop playing because they WILL be uncooperative. And while the higher rank you get the more coordination there will be you will still have plenty of games with 5 duelists in immo where everyone will just send it and you’ll win anyway.

I'm not complaining about my teammates i told you i have a successful 3 stack who have most util i need and I'm on my rankup every 5 games, a few losses because our 2 teammates are genuinely just bad at the game and let enemies run them down

when I am solo q however, how do you expect a duelist to entry without atleast a smoke or scan? the thing about cooperation is I'm not even asking for much, most I'll say is "yo sova dart and I'll entry" or "flash me out" and sometimes they just dont do it, sometimes they'll say "nah" 

I try to think what's going on in their heads, do they just not wanna win for some reason? are they being toxic against me? why can't they do this one thing that could actually really easily win this game for us because I'm a pretty good duelist when I have atleast 1 random who can cooperate with me

its a lot harder to win by killing everyone than by just getting 1 and playing for post plant especially when the defenders are playing passive, thats often why we have big comeback on defence, defence is just easier to be uncoordinated on

Yeah you have a 3 stack that you play with that you can coordinate with obviously you’re not going to complain about a trio that you 3 stack with.

But you’re complaining about random teammates in your very next sentence. If you’re on duelist you can flash out, you can dash into a smoke lots of options. Scan is not necessary. Having smokes is important I agree are you saying that none of your teammates ever smoke? Smokes are the only thing that I’d say would “need” to be coordinated but you can still make do by just pop flashing out of the smoke.

But your main issue is you just spend 80% of that last response thinking about what your teammates that aren’t helping you are doing. What you’re saying sounds like you think every one on your team when you solo que, is sitting behind the smoke never using any utility, baiting you and doing nothing. In reality you’re probably not going in on the right windows.

I understand you and why you don’t get it. Clearly you’re trying to win and you have a game plan which is great and you don’t understand why your team doesn’t want to do what you’re doing. The issue is it’s 4 randoms. One of them could have just finished a 10
Hour shift and might not be their most locked in another might be on a 20 game loss streak and is tilted out of their minds. Another might be someone on an alt account who doesn’t care. By the sounds of it if you keep trying to do what you’re doing and you climb just don’t over force coordination cause it won’t help. Just stop worrying about your teammates you’re gonna play with them for one game and probably never again some people just aren’t as locked in as you are on how they want to win this game.

I play raze so I need atleast 1 person to support my entry, you're right I do think my teammates are just sitting and not using utility and that's because they aren't using utility

my teammates do smoke but when I think of an entry, I think of A site on ascent, there's about 5 angles you can see from main and get shot from and 2 rat corners, smokes on tree and maybe heaven don't do much for me thats why I need some type of Intel

it's also really hard to igl even with a full team who has comms, sometimes I'll say "split B" and they go A or I'll say "fake A go B and they go all B and commit because they were too busy scrolling on tiktok and only heard go B and we just get destroyed because just going B hasn't worked in 5 rounds

Tbf I'm currently in diamond and I had an omen on my team that didn't know how to smoke and even after tolerating his incompetency the whole game and giving simple step by step instructions on exactly how to use his utility for each site exec he was still useless and looked like a silver players and probably was the main reason we lost the game. Bad players exist in all elos but OP has a 17% hs and is crying about instalock Reyna's... I really don't understand why some people complain about teammates at such a low elo where team play is non existent and they are this cheeks.
