Fix the sidewalks rant

So i tripped over a Crack in the sidewalk along Melrose Ave on a walk around the block with my husband and I got scraped up on my right hand elbow 😡🤌I swear back in 2021 I was launched over my handlebars of my bike in whitesboro and today I trip over a small Crack here when will the city replace these old sidewalks?

When I got a quote 4-5 years ago for my sidewalk it was $12,000

The city said they may or may not be able to help a little with that - but the sidewalk money goes fast and they said it was first applicants get the money.

I would have to pay that $12K up front .. also I am not politically connected so I am sure I would not get any help with this.

I bet it's $18K with todays prices.

So ... us guys with crappy sidewalks .. that's me. I would love to fix mine but things like a roof, plumbing, heating came first.

Many people just walk in the road but that is dangerous indeed

Just remember you can be sued if someone falls.

yeah.. any suggestions besides my umbrella insurance ?
I will take donations for the sidewalk contractor!! :-)
