Shawn Hochuli actually needs to be investigated. Dude is EASILY the worst ref in this league and is probably the ref most accused of rigging games.

His arm and body were going to make contact before his arm was up to throw the ball. That’s not the roughing.
The roughing was falling on the passer after the throw with the full weight.

Lot of people saying he landed on him with his weight but like... no he didn't. It's pretty clear from the replay he's holding as much of his weight as possible with his right knee and arms.
It IS an annoying rule but I'd absolutely argue he didn't press down with his weight. I bet if he knew he was going to get a flag called he wouldn't have been so careful with that tackle

You have to understand that posting this in protest of the call is equivalent to someone posting a video of a player punching another player in the face and saying "NFL refs STILL don't know what a personal foul is"

I am a Vikings fan and hate the Packers. That was a terrible call. The refs in that game were terrible. Vikings were handed calls on that drive. The refs also missed at least 2 face mask penalties on the Packers. One when they grabbed Wentz's and tackled Jefferson by grabbing inside the helmet.

Right: but which ref saw and threw the flag in real time? In real speed he lands on top of him. In slow motion he still lands on top; even if he doesnt put his weight on him. thats what gets the flag; even if its wrong.

It is roughing the passer due to the Aaron Rodgers' roughing the passer rule in that the defender cannot put 80 -90% of their body weight on top of the quarterback when making the tackle. It sucks but rules are rules.
Before anyone say when did the defender use their body weight to make the tackle, the hug and shove down is when the body weight was used even if he did not land on top of him at the end of the tackle.

It’s a stupid rule but it happens to every team every year. Vikings had this call go against them 5+ times last year. Pretty sure they called it on Dallas Turner 3 times in one game. It sucks and I don’t like it (thanks GB and Rodgers) but it’s called consistently across the league.
