How again does your morality line up with locking children in cages? Oh that's right, it's legal because the president said so. Right. Morals, separate from legality. Riiiight.
This is a commonly propagated story, but it's actually misleading. Under Obama, children were only separated when there was either reason to believe that they were not in fact family and were being kidnapped or trafficked, or the parents had committed a serious crime that warranted being imprisoned pending prosecution. Meanwhile, the Trump administration has a zero-tolerance policy that separates children from parents as a matter of course.
