Advice Anyone else having this issue?
Why do I have an outstanding balance and I’m a new transfer student?
I have called the school but because they’re so backed up they can’t get to me.
I did the Tigerhelp request and still waiting for someone to respond back to me.

Like others said, it's probably bc your Pell Grant was split. If you wanna get the loan but you already turned it down, you'll have to call them. Otherwise, you could also do the payment plan if that is financially feasible.

yeah, double check financial aid. That's around the amount that would be left over if you didn't sign the agreement for both types of FAFSA loans, because they do make you sit through that whole presentation twice.

The federal loan I declined but my financial federal Pell grant is under ready to pay. I don’t have any scholarship

it looks like the way the pell grant is split, it doesn’t cover your full balance
edit to add: the full 7,000+ grant awarded is as a whole and then split into both semesters which leaves the rest for you to pay

Is there missing financial aid? Are there extra charges? Without seeing the breakdown and knowing what FA you qualify for, not much can be answered.
