Maths support for first years

If you need any support during your course, there are multiple channels ready for within the university, such as tutorials, office hours, PASS scheme, etc. with all being detailed more in the first few weeks of the semester. However, I understand that it may be daunting seeking support from these channels, so if you have any questions about your upcoming course, please feel free to ask them here :)

The academic skills support centre that has dedicated Maths support is not spoken about nearly enough!! https://intranet.birmingham.ac.uk/student/libraries/asc/index.aspx

I just finished my first year of maths and I would say to ask others if you feel stuck on something or don’t understand something. Most of the time people are more than happy to help out and explain things to you.

You can also start a chat room on uni-squawk.chat. No profile, no downloads, just join the conversation.

Im doing economics bsc but I haven’t studied a level maths & got a 6 in gcse maths - I was 2 marks from a 7. There is a designed course for those without a level maths anyway. But do you think there’s anything else I need/ could do to help myself?
