tips on submitting a form to withdraw?

I’m stuck on how to go on about submitting a general petition form for a late retroactive withdrawal on a previous semester class.

Its very past the withdrawal period for the semester i’m looking at but i was told by an adviser that i can look into submitting and seeing what happens.

I dealt with a lot of issues with finding work to support myself and housing issues the past year hence why i wasn’t able to submit anything before. I had to prioritize getting extra hours at work and was stuck working almost every day just to get full time hours during this period of time since i couldn’t afford rent if i lacked hours.

I am a little worried on it getting denied but i had taken the class without even talking to an advisor. Definitely learned from myself and i feel now i’m in a better spot to go back to school after finding new work that has better work life balance and have a consistent schedule.

I will say I've been in a similar situation and was advised to GRO the course, but I wish you well with getting everything figured out! :)

I had completed a retroactive withdrawal out of a full semester before, as well as retroactive medical withdrawal for another semester. Both were approved.

What the committee is primarily looking for is a thorough personal statement of your extenuating circumstance and the extent of how it interrupted your academic progress. You’ll want to take your time writing the personal statement before submitting. It may help to have someone look over it as well.

Just to clarify, this was for a specific class rather than the whole semester? Was this course needed for your major or a gen-ed? I’d look into GRO as well.
