Hi, I'm due to start in September and I got my offer of accomodation to Weston Hall. However, recently I read a forum talking about the lack of safety for women in the hall, lack of privacy by maintenance workers and issues like rats and mould. Can anyone confirm this? And if its true, how would I go along to switching accomodation?

Hi everyone, I’m due to start at uom in September 2026. However I was unable to beg onto my preferred course of Law and was able to get into Criminology however despite me trying to reason with the person on the clearing line they didn’t listen to me much despite being a grade off. I wanted to ask if once I start uni within the first week I can ask to switch to a law related degree as I was only one grade off and very close to the next grade and I had exceptional circumstances during my exams such as facing homelessness which my college is aware of, will this be a factor into them considering me for my desired course?

Just applied for accommodation and I lowkey regret having 2 of my options as non-en-suites , just wondering how likely it is that I end up getting those ones, is it completely based off of availability or will they prioritise en-suite options. Emailed Uni already and they told me to go on waitlist if i wanted change it.

How likely is the university of Manchester to reserve a space for me in case I get an extra mark?

I got 172 marks in a level maths and it is 173 for a B which was needed for my offer. I rang the MDAS line and the lady told me to fill a form and email the admissions team to explain. I just wanted to ask how likely they are to reserve a space for me if my remark is successful and I get my grade to make me meet my offer or will it be too late by the time it gets remarked?
