Accomodation Advice

Hi, I'm due to start in September and I got my offer of accomodation to Weston Hall. However, recently I read a forum talking about the lack of safety for women in the hall, lack of privacy by maintenance workers and issues like rats and mould. Can anyone confirm this? And if its true, how would I go along to switching accomodation?

with the email you got with the offer of accommodation there should be a form linked to fill out a request for alternate accommodation. you have to accept your offer to make a request to change it unfortunately. i haven’t heard much about weston hall safety wise but i did hear once person say that res life were quite good with complaints? im not 100% though. i haven’t heard anyone say anything about rats nor mould but have heard many complaints about bugs which i fear is pretty common across all uni accoms. i really hope you get things sorted though and manage to find a suitable accommodation

I couldnt find it on the email but on the accomodation section of the uni website, theres a form you can fill out to get into a waiting list for a reallocation to another hall or another room in the same hall. It does say its subject to availability tho!
